You walked along the dirt road, following the cart tracks that had dried into the mud. After what seemed like several hours of walking, you found a damp coat hanging upon a wooden pole. The ground underneath it was freshly dug.

It was a grave.

As you searched the pockets of the coat, you found a note. You read the note and you discovered that the person buried there was called Mollymauk Tealeaf who was part of a group called the Mighty Nein. It explained how he died, trying to protect his friends and rescue some people called Fjord, Yasha and Jester from slavery. They were also his friends apparently. They were heading to Shady creek Run.

Humming to yourself, you sat down on the slightly damp grass. You took off your haversack and pulled a wooden shovel from it. It sounded like their friends missed him.

It took a while to dig down and it would take an hour to do the spell. Looking up at the sky, it hit you that it would probably be dark. Would it be worth sleeping next to Mollymauk Tealeaf's body? Looking down at the partially dug out grave, you realised that sleeping next to a corpse was a lot more creepy than bringing the person back and finishing the spell when it was dark.

Several hours later, you had managed to pull the body wrapped in the now dirty, but clearly gaudy, tapestry. Smiling to yourself, you prepared to cast the spell that would bring the tiefling back.

Slowly, the wound in his chest healed and, with a sprinkle of holy water and using expensive diamonds, his eyes opened. Smiling to yourself, you waited for him to gather his senses. He sat up and stared at you. He had curled horns with little baubles and gems hanging from them

"You don't happen to have a drink, do you?" he asked, offering a smile. Smiling back, you pulled a flask from a pocket. You were used to people asking for alcohol when they were resurrected. He happily took several gulps from the flask before handing it back. "Thanks."

You watched him quietly, waiting to see if he would freak out or attempt to attack you. Both things had happened several times before. You could see a tattoo of peacock feathers on his neck and at the side of his face.
"I don't mean to be rude but are you going to keep staring at me or can you talk?" he asked.
"Sorry," you whispered, smiling a little. "I'm not sure what to say."

The two of you looked at each other for a moment, the sky was getting darker by the minute. Remembering the note, you grabbed his colourful robes and handed them to him and then handed the note.
"Your name is Mollymauk, right?" He nodded. "I'm (Y/n). It seems like your friends miss you."
"I'm sure they would," he said. He looked at the note and slipped on his robes. He searched the pockets and found some of his things missing.

"Are you going to find them?"
"I'd like to," said Molly.
"It said they were going to Shady Creek Run but... I don't know how long ago that was. Is there somewhere like a safe house or a meeting point that you have?"
Molly shook his head. "I suppose there's always the Gentleman," he said after a while.

You watched him slowly stand and look around. The hole where he was buried was still in the ground, you hadn't bothered filling it in.
"Could I come with you?" you asked. You didn't really have anywhere to go and the purple tiefling seemed rather nice.
"Of course," he said without hesitation. "I am indebted to you for this and even if you weren't, I would happily let a beautiful person like you join me." You smiled a little. You weren't too used to compliments.

"So... where's the Gentleman?" you asked as you stood up. You were too tired to bother filling in the hole you dug to retrieve Mollymauk's body. "Who's the Gentleman too? It's a very mysterious name."
"I wish I knew but then it wouldn't be very mysterious, would it?" said Molly.
"I guess not."
"But I do know where he's based which means we're going to Zadash."

Right then, you decided that you rather liked the pretty purple tiefling. You had the feeling you would enjoy travelling with him.
