“Matt? Is something wrong?” you asked, watching as he tapped the rim of his glass.
“I’m fine, (Y/n),” he said in the most unconvincing voice possible.
“Right…” you said. “Is it a lawyer thing?”
“No, no,” he said quickly. “(Y/n), I need to be honest about something.”
Immediately, you mind thought of the worst thing. Had be cheated? Was he going to break up with you?“I’m Daredevil.”
“What?” you asked.
“I’m Daredevil,” he repeated. “I didn’t want to tell you because I’d put you in danger but I feel guilty about lying to you.”
“I don’t know what to say,” you said honestly. “Was being a lawyer not enough justice?”
“Sometimes it doesn’t work,” he said. “And in those cases, I have to do something.”
“You don’t have to do anything.” You sighed and took a few gulps of your drink.“Is it dangerous?”
“It can be dangerous, yes,” he said.
“I don’t want you to get hurt,” you admitted. “I love you, Matt, I hate seeing you beaten and bruised.”
“It’s not like I enjoy being hurt.” He smiled slightly, looking over at you, even if he couldn’t see you.“Matt, please don’t look at me with that face,” you sighed.
“Look at you like what?” he asked, smiling at you as you sat at the bar. You groaned and sipped your drink.“Listen, Matt,” you said. “I love you, I do, but I’d rather you stay as a lawyer than be a vigilante.”
“I understand,” he said while nodding and taking a drink.
“Matt, I’m just scared you’ll come home really badly injured or that you won’t come home at all.”Both of you finished your drinks and left to go home. Matt clung to your arm as you walked through the streets.
“Have I ever told you how attractive you are?” he said. He was clearly drunk as his words were slightly slurred.
“Matt, you can’t see me. How would you know if I look good?” you asked, laughing at him a little. He rested his head on your shoulder, awkwardly leaning down to do so.“You don’t have to look good to be attractive to me,” he said. “Mainly because I can’t see you, as you pointed out. I find you attractive because you are honest and kind and I couldn’t ask for a better person to date.”
“Have I ever told you how much I love you?” Matt lifted his head off you shoulder and smiled.
“Many times.”
“Well, I can’t tell you enough,” you said. “Because I love you Matthew Murdock and I don’t think I’m ever going to stop loving you.”
“I love you too, (Y/n) (L/n).”He stopped and since he had latched onto your arm, you also stopped with him. He gently kissed you, smiling when he pulled away, you smiled back.
“You are so adorable.”
