Chapter 16

Tony's POV-
I was holding our new baby girl . She is so tiny but she is perfectly healthy and she's strong. She weighed 6 pounds , so she was a little lighter than the twins when they were born . Steve was still asleep and Bucky was asleep too . Bucky stayed after Steve passed out and once we came to Steve's hospital room Bucky sat in the chair beside Steve's bed and fell asleep. I was starting to get worried about Steve because he had been asleep for 13 hours . The good thing is that the baby hasn't woken up yet either . She scared me when she was born because she didn't cry . She just stayed asleep through the whole thing . Bruce went ahead and ran the tests on her to see if she is normal or not and she's just a normal person. I was rocking her and watching tv when I heard Steve stirring in his bed . I looked over and Steve was moving . " Papa's waking up honey maybe you should too " I said smiling at her . No reaction she didn't even move . She just kept sleeping. " Where is she ?" Steve asked with his eyes still closed . " She's right here " I said to him . He opened his eyes and looked over to me and smiled . " Is she okay ?" He asked . " Yea she's okay she's healthy and pretty much a full term baby . She weighs 6 pounds , so she weighs a little less than what the twins weighed when they were born but other than that she is doing great " I said still rocking her in my arms . " Has she woke up yet ?" He asked rubbing his eyes . " Nope ,not yet but here ,maybe if you hold her she will wake up " I said handing her to him . He held her and slowly rocked her . " She's so tiny " he said quietly smiling down at her . I stood up so I could see her face . She finally yawned and stretched in his arms. She opened her eyes and she had bright grey eyes . She yawned and then looked at both of us . She closed her eyes and went back to sleep . " She is curling up in my arms " Steve said happily looking down at her . That's when I heard a click and looked over to see Bucky fully awake taking a photo of us . " That's a good family photo right there " he said looking at the picture he took . " Hey Bucky your finally awake " Steve said smiling at his best friend . "Yea I'm awake. How are you feeling?" Bucky asked Steve . " I'm feeling okay , a little sore and weak but that's normal "Steve said shrugging his shoulders . " Good , but that might wear off soon seeing as though your on 5 pain medications and they gave it to you a long time ago " Bucky said . " I'm on 5 pain medications ?! how long ago did they give it to me ?" He said a little bit of a scared voice . "About 5 hours ago but don't worry babe you'll be okay . That much medicine won't bother you " I said . The baby started to get fussy . She was moving in Steve's arms and starting to cry . " What does she want ?" Bucky said confused . "She's just hungry . I think " Steve said not completely sure himself on what she wanted . He positioned the baby so she could eat . She latched on and Steve winced . " Okay that's um ... wow " Bucky said shocked . " She's rougher than the twins were when I had to feed them " Steve said wincing very so often when she would twist or squirm while feeding . " Wait , you had to do this with the twins ?" Bucky said . Steve nodded his head . " How did I never see you do that ?" Bucky said . " Well he usually would stay in the twins room until they had finished eating and then come out . He would barely even let me be with him when he fed the twins " I said . " I didn't want anyone to see me feeding the babies , you try breastfeeding a baby and tell me it doesn't make you feel bad about yourself when people look at you weird or say something mean to you because that's not a natural way to feed your baby " Steve said slightly tearing up . " Steve , who said something to you about the way you feed the babies ?" I asked getting angry . " It was just a few shield agents but they were new so I let it slide " he said waving it off like it was nothing . " I'm gonna go guys so you can talk this out . I'm glad your okay Steve and congratulations guys on your new baby " Bucky said getting up and leaving . "So , who was it because that isn't going be tolerated here ?" I said pissed off . " It was a long time ago Tony . People can have their opinions about us and our family , but it doesn't matter because we are still together and love each other " he said still feeding our unnamed baby girl. She whined and he picked her up to burp her . " Steve , I get that but what if someone was to say something to the kids about us ? Wouldn't you wish you could have dealt with it a long time ago " I said . " Yes I would wish I could have dealt with it ,but Tony what's in the past is in the past we can't change it so why cause a problem now " he said . " Argh I hate when you say that " I said . The baby finished eating and Steve burped her again . " What are we going to name her ?" Steve asked rocking her . " I don't know , what names do you have in mind honey ?" I asked him in a calm voice because I'm calming down but I'm still pissed that someone did that to Steve and to my kids . " I had Violet and Katherine in mind . What names did you have in mind ?" He said . " I had Darcy , Peggy , and -" I said but got cut off by Steve . " Peggy ? ...What made you think of that name ?" He said . " Well because of Peggy carter and because we both knew Peggy , in different ways of course , but you know I just thought you might like that " I said rambling. I looked up to Steve and he was just smiling at me . " I love the name . I just wanted to here you ramble. It's cute when you do that " he said smiling at me . " That's not nice Steve " I said pretending to be upset . " Oh I'm so sorry baby I promise I'll make it up to you later " he said smiling and giggling at me . " So anyways the name ? What's her full name ?" I asked smiling. " How about
Peggy Anna Rogers-Stark ? " He said . " I like it but I don't like the middle name " I said . " Well then you pick her middle name " he said . " How about Peggy Elizabeth Rogers-Stark ?" I said . "I love it" Steve said smiling down at our baby girl, Peggy .

(Later that evening )
Steve's POV-
The twins were coming to see Peggy for the first time . They didn't go to my ultrasounds so they had never seen their sister . Bucky , Natasha, Victoria and Sam were all coming too . Tony had fallen asleep about an hour ago on the couch beside me . I was rocking Peggy and watching the news when I heard the door knob click . I looked over and saw Bucky walk in first with his finger on his lips . He was telling the kids to be quiet incase we were asleep. The twins looked anxious to see us when they walked in the room . " Is it okay for us to come in now ?" Bucky asked . " Yea of course come on in " I said smiling. " Okay guys go in but be quiet " Bucky said as the kids walked in . Victoria was a quiet kid anyways so she didn't even worry about being loud . Once everyone was in the room they all stood on the opposite side of the room from me . " You can come near me we aren't going to bite " I joked with them . Natasha walked over beside me and looked at Peggy . " Oh my goodness she's gorgeous Steve " nat said rubbing Peggy's cheek with her finger . "How big is she ?" Natasha asked . " She's 6 pounds and 18 inches long " tony said in a grumbly voice. " Wow she's big for a early baby " Natasha said looking at Peggy . Peggy opened her eyes to look around to see what was going on . " Hi there cutie , I'm your auntie Natasha" Nat said . Peggy whined and started to pout . " Oh I'm so sorry sweetie I didn't mean to disturb your nap " Nat said giggling a little. " Papa ? Is that her ?" Peter asked from across the room . " Yea buddy this your sister. Come here guys she wants to meets you " I said and Peggy looked around to see what I was talking about . They both slowly walked over to my hospital bed . Tony picked up Maddie and put her on the bed and Natasha grabbed peter to put him on the bed . Peter climbed up to my left side and Maddie nuzzled into my right side . " She's tiny papa " Maddie said looking at Peggy. " She's a baby sweetie . Babies are always tiny , you were this small when you were first born " I said to her . She nodded and put her hand on my belly . " why do you still have a baby belly papa ?" She asked . " Because Peggy was only born a little while ago so my belly hasn't gotten small again yet but it will over time " I said to her . " Can I touch her papa ?" Peter asked me. " Sure bud be gentle though " I said to him I took her head out of the blanket so he could feel her hair . He felt her head and her hair and smiled at her . Maddie touched Peggy's hair and leaned up to see Peggy's face . " She's looking at me papa " peter said . Peggy was looking at him but she was almost smiling. " She's just as curious as you are bud . She's a baby there is no need to be afraid of her " I said . " she doesn't have any hair papa " Maddie said . " Yea she does honey it's just blonde " I said rocking Peggy back to sleep . " Alright kids tell sissy night night before she falls asleep " Tony said to the kids . He was standing up beside the bed now . " goodnight sissy " they both said then they both kissed her forehead . I handed Peggy to Tony and he put her in her hospital cot . " Say night night to papa to kids . He needs to rest " Tony said coming back beside my bed . " Goodnight papa love you " They said hugging me tightly . " Goodnight sweethearts. I'll see you tomorrow , be good for uncle Bucky and aunt Natasha while you are at their house " I said hugging them tightly. We let go and they nodded at me . Peter hopped off the bed and Maddie had tony help her off . They went over and stood with Natasha. Bucky came over to me and hugged me bye . Sam was looking at Peggy then he came over to me . " You did good Cap, I'm proud of you man " Sam said patting me on the shoulder. " Thanks Sam , that means a lot to me" I said smiling up at him . " So now after you had 3 kids maybe I'll be able to beat you in running " Sam said joking around . " Oh no don't worry Sam once I'm out of this bed I'll be back to running circles around you " I said joking with him . He laughed and then told me bye . " See ya later stark " Sam said to tony . " Yep see ya " tony said focusing on changing Peggy's diaper . They all left and I felt happy . " Here I think she's hungry and I can't feed her " tony said handing Peggy to me . I nodded and took her to feed her . Once she was latched tony sat beside me on the bed and looked at me with a weird look in his eyes . " What's wrong tony ?" I asked him . " Nothing I'm just ... I never thought I would be happy to change a diaper or take care of kids but with you by my side it just feels perfect " tony said smiling at me . I felt my self starting to tear up . " I love you and the kids so much and I never thought I would want a family or a spouse before I met you ... but looking at our beautiful baby girl and our two other angels ... life has just never felt so right ,it just feels like everything has finally fallen into place " tony said smiling at me and wiping my tears from my cheeks . " I love you tony " I said kissing him . " I love you too " he said while we were kissing . We pulled away and leaned back into the pillows. Peggy finished eating a little while after that and then we put her to bed in her cot . Tony came back over to my bed and climbed up on the bed with me and cuddled with me . We fell asleep wrapped up in each other's arms and wrapped in love .
