The First Day

I was in complete shock. I ran to the window to look outside, and what I saw shocked me even more. The familiar white houses, the street, it all rang a bell.

"I'm inside the game."

"What game?" Sayori asked, shaking me out of my trance.

"Oh, um, nothing."

She giggled. "Well, I'll see you at school then!"

"Alright, see you then," I said as I hung up the phone.

I sighed, standing in the middle of the room. "Okay, I'm basically the MC of the game. I just have to beat it. That's all."

What about Monika? She was the one who hacked it and made it to where she was the only one left. Is she going to be in the way, or like the villain of the game? Maybe she knows what's going on. However, I found the uniform in my closet, brushed my teeth, and left the house.

I found my way to the school and saw Sayori by the gates waiting for me with a huge smile on her face. "Hey, Noah!"

Holy crap. This really was real. Her hair, her blue eyes, the red bow...

This was real. I really was in the game, and I couldn't help but take an overwhelmed breath.

"Noah?"

"Huh?" I snapped out of my thoughts. "Yes, I'm here. What's up?"

Sayori giggled again. "Hehe, it's okay. You look like you've never seen me before."

I felt my face turn red in nervousness, but before I could say anything, she cut me off again. "I just wanted to ask if you've decided on a club to join."

I remembered the details of the game. My instant thought was to go along with it. "Well, no, not really."

Sayori pouted. "You promised me that you'd join a club this year!"

I couldn't help but smile. "Okay, I'll see what they have."

She beamed. "Yay! You should come to check out my club! It's a literature club!"

I chuckled nervously. "Well, I suppose it can't hurt after all."

The girl smiled even more. "Thank you, Noah. I promise you won't regret it."

With that, we made our way into the school.

The day passes quickly, and I can't stop thinking about the dream. I had so many questions that continued to flood my mind. Who was the girl that the angel wanted me to save? Was it Sayori?

I caught myself spacing out when Sayori found me in the classroom. "Hey!"

"Huh?" I shook myself out of it again and grabbed my stuff. "Sorry about that. I was just thinking about some stuff."

"Obviously," she teased. "Anyways, let's go."

I took a deep breath and braced myself for what was to come.

On the way there, we passed an area that I didn't recognize from the game. I had to ask Sayori about directions without being too strange about it.

"Well, we're here!" Sayori says. She opens the doors, full of energy, and says, "Hey everyone, the new member is here!"

I stared in shock. Three girls stood before me, and everything caved in once again.

The tallest girl walked up to me and spoke softly. "Welcome to the club, it's a pleasure meeting you."

I stood just over Yuri, despite her being the tall one. Her purple eyes looked away out of sudden embarrassment. I bowed my head. "It's a pleasure to meet you, too."
