After talking to Roman, Zander went to find Dean, he needed to convince him to give up on his dangerously stupid plan for getting revenge on his own against Vassago. Yes, Dean was the Chosen One; the most powerful being on Earth, but he was also the most vulnerable at the same time, due to their lack of knowledge of any kind about him and his powers, except for the prophecy that only speaks of what he could do, not how!

Zander had had a family once; a wife and daughter, who he loved very much and thanks to that son-of-a-bitch Vassago he had lost them centuries ago. Since being turned though, he's only depended on himself, not giving a damn about anyone else. That all changed though when he had met Dean and the others, for the first time in a long time, he felt like he was a part of something special and he's grown so close to all of them, but he shares a stronger bond with his brother. He had meant what he said about standing by Dean's side in the battle and he refused to let him walk into the fight by himself knowing it meant certain death. He knew Dean loved them all in different ways and that he also blamed himself for what was happening, he bore all the weight of the war and was too stubbornly prideful to let them share its burden. He made it to the training room and looked inside the open door, Dean stood by one of the windows, his sword in one hand by his side and his back to the door. Zander didn't even have to read his thoughts to feel the crushing weight of Dean's guilt.

"I've been a screw-up my entire life." Dean said sadly, without moving or looking at him. "When I was a mortal, I did so many horrible things to so many innocent people without giving a damn. When I lay dying and that son-of-a-bitch, Vassago, found me, I...I listened to every word he said and in that moment I knew that this would be my punishment for what I did. Even then I refused it, I shot him, I didn't want to be a monster anymore. He turned me against my will, when I woke and found out what he did, I vowed to him that if I survived the full change I'd spend eternity making up for all I did as a mortal, by making his life a living Hell!" He said bitterly, as he turned to look at Zander, before he put his sword down. "I rebelled against him and the family every damn chance I could, but then I'd help train his damn soldiers! I was confused and lost, brother, I...I didn't know what to do or who I was anymore...I had lost myself."

"But you found yourself again." Zander said gently, as he came into the room and stood in front of him. "You found your purpose."

"I did, in my family." Dean agreed smiling sadly. "My true family; first, Roman and then Seth, Paige and the girls soon followed and then finally, the last piece fell into place with you." He added. "I've put all of you in danger and I'm the only one who can stop this! And that's why I've decided to...do this alone!"

"Dean, that's suicide and you know it! You may be the Chosen One, but that doesn't mean you have to do this alone!" Zander said angrily. "Dammit, Dean, think of your loved ones for a second!"

"I' am! That's why I'm doing this alone, to keep all of you safe!"

"What happens if you fail, huh? What if they...they turn you against us or worse, they kill you? Then what?"

"That won't happen and if it does, you're all strong enough to move on without me!" Dean said upset. "Strong enough to...kill me, if I fail."

"You bastards!" Roman said upset, as he came into the room, his tears falling silently, neither had known he had been there and heard everything. "This is what you two have been keeping from us...from me?"
