Knowing he had no time to waste, Dean stood up and quickly went back to Josiah and picked him up putting him over his shoulder, as if he weighed nothing. He then rushed back to Zander, he bent down to pick him up too, Zander refused at first, but Dean ignored his protests though and carefully, but quickly, picked him up bridal style; causing him to groan in pain from the movement, and rushed back to their car. Once they reached it, Dean opened the passenger's side door and gently placed Zander on the seat, causing him to groan in pain again at the movement. Dean then went to the other side of the car, opened the back door and tossed Josiah onto the seat on his stomach like a piece of garbage. He quickly got into the car too and started it, before he began driving back to the monastery.

"Hang on, Zander, please!" Dean begged, as he gripped the steering wheel with both hands, so tight his knuckles were white.

"You won't let me die, I know it." Zander said weakly, as he turned to look at Dean.

"You're going to die, traitor and there's nothing you can do about it, Chosen One!" Josiah taunted, before he began laughing.

Hearing him laugh made Dean angry and seeing a turn coming up on the right, he purposely sped up just before they turned, causing Josiah to roll off the seat and hit the floor hard. Dean knew what the dagger could do to a Vamp; hell, he had learned its power first hand, and that thought terrified him. The only relief he had was the fact that the bastard hadn't known how to use it, which meant, if he could get Zander back to the monastery, he could perform the damn Healing Ritual and save his brother's life! The thought of losing Zander scared the crap out of him and it felt like someone had stabbed him in the damn heart! Yeah, Dean could handle himself and survive whatever was thrown at him; he managed this long without him, but that meant nothing to Dean. Zander; like every single member of his little family, had become a huge part of him and it would devastate him if he loses his brother! He looked at a quiet Zander and the only thing he could focus on was the blood, there was so much blood! He looked back at the road, this would be another life lost because of Vassago...because of Dean!

"I...I'm still with you, brother." Zander's weak voice spoke, breaking into his thoughts. "St...stop blaming yourself for my...my death, Dean, I'm not even dead!" He scolded him, knowing exactly what he was thinking, even without having to read Dean's thoughts.

"Keeper was wrong about you two; especially you, Ambrose!" Josiah suddenly spoke up.

"That right?" Dean asked bitterly. "Why?"

"You two aren't the powerful, smart and terrifying Vamps he told me you are. No, what you two really are is a pair of weak, pathetic mortal lovers! Being around mortals for so long as made you two as soft and emotional as they are, it's disgusting!" Josiah mocked.

"You wanna know something too, you son-of-a-bitch?" Dean said angrily, as he squeezed the steering wheel tighter. "If we didn't need something from you, you would already be dead by my hands. So, shut your damn mouth, before I rip your damn tongue out and shove it down your throat!"

The rest of the car ride was quiet and tense, Zander would reassure him every once in a while that he was still alive to keep Dean calm. Finally, they arrived back at the monastery, as soon as they were parked, Dean got out and rushed to Zander's side. He gently helped him out and they began walking to the door, Zander leaning against him, as Dean practically had to walk for him; Dean had tried to carry him again, but Zander refused. Suddenly, realizing they weren't coming for him, Josiah called out to them.
