continuation of June 21st

Madison and I stood there in silence as Andre stared at us like we killed someone. This was the moment when we fucked up.

"Are y'all gonna answer me or stand here looking dumb?" Andre said.

"Uh, hey dad..." Madison said.

"Don't hey me Madison, where the hell were y'all at? And why are y'all wearing those skimpy dresses?!" Andre asked us.

"Oh dad, we were... at church" Madison lied.

I looked at this girl like she was crazy. Which she was. She just made us look dumber than we did.

"Y'all might as well tell me cause Madison, you are a bad liar" he said back.

"Fine, we went out" I admitted. "We went to Roxy".

"Roxy?! How the hell did y'all get in and y'all are under 21?!" he wondered.

"Well..." Madison started.

"We went with Jodeci" I said.

"Shut up!" Madison muttered.

"So y'all were out with my clients?!" he exclaimed.

"Please Unc, it wasn't there fault, we wanted to go. Don't be mad at them" I said.

"Why would y'all be with them anyways?" he asked.

"Cause..." I started. "I'm seeing Devante".

Andre looked at me like I was crazy. Madison was trying to leave the room to avoid any questions.

"No Madison, stay here" he said. "You're what now?".

"I'm, seeing Devante" I finally told him. "I've been holding this back for a few days but, it's about time I told you."

"How the hell? You've only been here for five days!" he exclaimed.

"I know, I know" I said. "I don't even know how it started myself".

"Madison did you know this?" he asked her.

Madison didn't say anything. Especially since she's been covering for me.

"Diana, that better not be a damn hickey on your neck" he said.

Oh shit. The makeup faded away. Crapppp.

"Um-" I paused.

"What have y'all been doing?" he asked.

I froze there and my heart was pacing. I was scared straight.

"Answer me girl!" he said.

"We've been, doing things. Like... we had sex..." I told him.

"Y'ALL WHAT?! Oh hell no, I'm telling your parents, you are going back to Maryland tomorrow. This New York thing isn't working, you can come back for school but you can't be staying with me now" he said.

"No uncle Andre please!" I pleaded.

"No Diana, you can't be doing all of this fresh shit in my household. Then again, my damn clients. Matter of fact, I'm calling Devante right now for messing with my niece" he told me.

"Devante had nothing to with it, I tempted it cause I wanted it. It's not his fault" I told him.

"I don't care, he knew you were my relative, he should've had his boundaries" he said.

"Uncle, stop please" I cried. I really didn't want to leave, or worst, leave Devante.

"No, why should I" he said.

"Dad you're overreacting, she is grown" Madison said.

"She don't pay bills right, and neither do you so mind your business Madison" he told her.

She quietly walked to her room.

"Man once I tell Devante I swear he's gonna get-" he started.

"Stop. Believe it or not but Devante has treated me so well. He's been so good and he even got me to sing on a Heavy D song. Honestly, I love him. I really do. He makes me happy, even though we've only known eachother for a few days but these few days have been amazing" I told him.

Andre looked at me and Madison's nosey ass was peeping in.

"He really is treating you good?" he asked again.

"Yes, so please don't take out your anger on him. Devante hasn't done anything to me, if anything it's me. So please don't be mad at him, and please don't tell my parents and send me home. I love it here, it honestly makes me happy" I said.

He was silent and he hung the phone up.

"He really is this good to you?" he said.

"Yes" I said back.

"..... fine. I won't make you go home and I won't be mad at Devante. I just wanna make sure that my niece is happy being here. I mean, you are my first niece so I just wanna make sure you're treated well" he said to me.

"Thanks Unc, I appreciate it" I said.

I gave him a hug and he pecked my cheek. Then Madison's ass came out of the woodwork acting all fake.

"That was so moving, and Oscar award winning performance!" she said.

"Maddie shut up!" I laughed.

"So dad... since you're cool with Diana and Devante dating, I should tell you that I'm kinda hanging with Dalvin now" she told him.

"WHAT?!" he exclaimed.

"Gotta go!" I said as I ran out of the room into mine. I hope her ass wouldn't get in trouble. Nor Dalvin.

I went into my room and I got a message on my pager. It was from De.

"Had a great time tonight. Night baby"

I smiled at what he said to me. I don't know but after tonight, my love for him grew bigger.

"Night De. Love you"

"Love you more Diana"

Yeah, I had really fell for him. Hard.
