Crub, crub, crub! What have I done?!

A flash of red light started blinking on and off, and alarm sirens began blaring. It was so loud that I had to cover my ears.

ERRRR!!!

A computerized voice that sounded female suddenly spoke from somewhere.

"THREE MINUTES UNTIL EXPLOSION."

And three minutes until we are dead!

"You need to go!" I heard Lean say.

Me? What about her?!

"I am not leaving without you!" I called out.

"I will follow you. As soon as I get the jar that contains my eyes, I will be right behind you. I promise."

"Lean—"

"TWO MINUTES UNTIL EXPLOSION."

"Go, Margie! Go!"

"But...I have no idea where the exit is!"

"Down the hallway where we entered the factory! Now move!"

With nothing more left to say, I raced out of the room and down the narrow hallways. I took a left. Then a right. Then another left.

"ONE MINUTE UNTIL EXPLOSION."

Come on! Where is the exit?!

I turned a corner - and saw the place where Lean and I first entered.

Yes! I made it! Now, to get out of here!

I hurried to the front door - and remembered that the door did not have a doorknob or at least a keyhole, so I could pick the lock.

Crub!

I looked at the wall to see if there was a keypad. The ghost used a keypad before, and the door slid open.

Nope. No keypad.

I noticed a small machine on the wall instead. It was a fingerprint scanner.

Hmm. Maybe this will open the door. It works in movies.

I pressed a small button on the machine and heard a male voice.

"PLEASE PLACE YOUR THUMB ON THE SCANNER."

I placed my thumbprint on the scanner.

"ACCESS DENIED."

Great! Just great!

"TEN SECONDS UNTIL EXPLOSION."

Oh, no! What do I do?

What do I do?!

I quickly scanned the area, and by my luck, I spotted an open window. I did not waste any more precious time. I scurried to the window and climbed out of it.

"THREE SECONDS UNTIL EXPLOSION."

Without doing any thinking, I leaped...

...and BOOM!!!

And then I heard a voice. A panicking, yet sweet voice.

"Margie?!"

It was my sister, Scarlett.
