~*Jade*~
"Please don't do this to me, please." I said to the dark figure coming towards me.
I don't know where I am or who the dark figure is but I do know I'm not about to die like this. I run out the room into a dark hallway. I can't see anything but I do hear voices to my right. Should I run to the voices or away from them? I stand there and contemplate on which way to go. If I go to the right towards the voices, I could live or they could be my murders. If I go to the left, I could be safe. The heavy footsteps I hear behind me make me choose the right. As I'm running down the hallway I hear someone call my name.
"Jade! Come towards my voice." I hear my grandma say. I stop and do a 360 looking for her but soon give up and keep running.
I keep running and running but it seems as though the hallway isn't ending. I look over my shoulder to see the dark figure still coming after me. Due to the fact of me looking over my shoulder, I run into someone. I look up to see my grandma looking down at me.
"Granny we got to go, someone is trying to hurt me." I say then grab her hand but she stands still and looks to her right. I look to the right as well to see my mother and father arguing about something.
"Granny please come with me, I don't want us to die." I say while turning around to run again but stop in my tracks when I hear...
POW POW POW POW
I wake up from my dream drenched in sweat. I look at my clock and see that it's 2:15 pm. I sit in bed thinking about how intense my dream was.
"Who got killed?" I wondered out loud. I shrug the dream off and get out of bed. I walk into my bathroom to get ready for my day.
When I come out of the bathroom 20 minutes later, I notice how quiet the house is. I ignore it and get dressed. I wanted to chill today so I put some grey jogging pants on with a pink tank-top. I walk over to my desk and see a note on it.
Me and your dad are going to Atlanta for the weekend. We'll be back Monday night and I left you $500 in your top dresser draw. You can have company over or even throw a little party. I don't know, just have fun! Love, Mom
I balled the note up and went to my dresser to get the money. I grabbed the money and ran over to my closet. When I reached my closet I put half of the money away into a secret safe I had hidden. I smiled when I realized that I had saved up $6,000. I only needed $4,000 to reach my goal of $10,000.
The only reason I was saving was so that when I went away to college I didn't have to ask my parents for anything. I wanted to be independent. Fuck a dorm room, I wanted my own apartment. Fuck public transportation, I wanted my own car. Whatever I had left was going to be used to find my sister.
CRASH
I was snapped out of my thoughts by the sound of glass breaking. I closed my safe and stood up. Like a white person in a scary movie, I went to investigate. I checked the whole house and only saw a window in the living room broken. I went to the kitchen to call the police.
"I haven't even been in the house by myself for a day and shit going down already." I mumbled
When I picked up the house phone, I felt as though someone was behind me. I turned around and saw the intruder smiling down at me.
"W-w-what are you doing here?" I asked while backing away from the person I hated the most.
"Don't worry 'bout all that." He said pointing a gun in my face.
