ugly

The mirror taunts you. Your frown deepens as you stare at your over sized hips, large thighs and almost bulging stomach. Plus your make up has made no attempt to cover up your little pimples. You sigh, tears streaming down your face. There's only one person in the world who tells you that you're beautiful and it should mean the world to you but it doesn't. Although his praising and love has amped your mood, you still want everyone else to feel the same about how you look. Not laugh or whisper totally stupid but hurtful things when he's not around.

"I look ugly."

You feel yourself being pressed into his chest as his warm breath tickles your ear.

"I'm on my period." You can hear the smirk in his words but still leap out of his arms.

"What?"

He shrugs, tilting his head in confusion

"I thought we were naming things that are impossible." You melt at his words, momentarily forgetting about how you look. He cups your cheeks, making sure that you have all your attention on him.

"I know it sounds cheesy but I wish you could see yourself through my eyes. You'd finally realise how amazingly beautiful I think you are."
