Chapter 18

The next morning I didn't awake in my tent. I awoke in Daryl Dixon's. I had his arms wrapped around my waist, making me feel safe and warm. I remembered everything from last night. Every last detail. I began to smile at the memory of last night before I slowly began to remove his arms from my waist so I could get up and get dressed. However, as I got dressed, I heard a movement from behind before I heard Daryl say...

"Morning," Daryl said.

"Morning," I said as I turned to see him for a moment as I put my top back on.

I smiled at him before I began putting on my shoes.

"Where are you going?" Daryl asked.

"I'm going to go check on Alicia. You should probably get up as well so we can help them with the rest of the bodies," I said.

"Yeah, I guess so," Daryl said.

I then finished putting on my shoes before Daryl said...

"Hey, about last night-" Daryl said before I interrupted him.

"I don't regret anything if that's what you're thinking. Last night was everything to me. You are everything to me, but I got to make sure Alicia is okay with this before it goes any further," I said before getting up.

"Skye?" Daryl asked.

"Yeah?" I asked as I turned back.

"You're everything to me too," Daryl said.

I then walked over and kissed him before I let go like a tease and said...

"Get up," I said.

"Yes ma'am," Daryl said.

I then left the tent smiling before walking over to my tent and slowly walking in. As I walked in, I saw that Alicia was still asleep. I sighed with relief before I changed my clothes so I wouldn't be wearing the same as yesterday before I finally woke Alicia up.

"Morning sweetheart," I said.

"Morning mum," Alicia said.

"Hey, I found something yesterday that I thought you might like," I said.

"What is it?" Alicia asked, sounding very excited.

I then walked over to my backpack before pulling out the dolphin teddy bear and hiding it behind my back before saying...

"Here it is," I said as I revealed it to her as a dolphin teddy bear.

"Oh my god! Mum this is amazing! I love it so much. Thank you," Alicia said as she sat up with it.

"That's okay baby. Thought it could replace the one you lost," I said.

"It's better than that one," Alicia said before hugging me.

"Glad you like it baby," I said as we hugged.

I then let go of her before saying...

"Now, get dressed," I said.

"Okay mum," Alicia said.

"I'll be out there, okay?" I asked.

"Okay mum," Alicia answered.

I then left the tent before I walked over to the others, who were sat around the fire.

"Morning everyone," I said.

"Morning," Lori said.

I then sat down beside them before I spotted Andrea still sitting beside Amy.
