MAYA’S P.O.V.

I was still sitting on the couch when I heard the front door open. The jingling of car keys was audible as Harry placed them in the small bowl we had in the foyer.

I jumped up from the couch and walked quickly into the foyer where Harry was taking off his shoes and putting down his belongings in his pockets. He smiled when he saw me and I put my arms out and wrapped them around his neck. He smoothed down my hair and I pulled away, “I love you,” I whispered before I kissed him, “And I missed you so much today,” I said pulling away but leaning in to kiss him again, “And I’m sorry I was so terrible to you this morning.”

Harry pulled away to look at me, “Let me take you out for dinner tonight.”

I smiled and nodded, “Okay.” I stepped back and ran upstairs to find a pair of shoes to wear. I decided on my old pair of gray TOMS since I was only in jeans and a t-shirt. Hopefully Harry wouldn’t take me anyplace fancy.

I found him downstairs in the kitchen, drinking a small glass of water. “You all ready?” he asked smiling, as I walked into the kitchen.

“Yep,” I replied. He set his water on the counter and grabbed my hand. I smiled.

“So where would you like to go my love?” Harry asked as he pulled out of the driveway.

“Anywhere,” I said with a smile.

            “Anywhere? Well then…”

I smiled at the sound of his voice. The deep, Cheshire accent that I’d come to love so much over the years. It was just very homey and it was just great. I smiled and looked at my lap. I played with the rings of my left finger and went back to our wedding. I could remember every single little detail about it. The smile that spread across his face when he saw me walking down the aisle, the way we kissed; everything. How could I forget? It was the moment that I realized I never wanted to be apart from Harry.

“Does that sound good?” Harry asked.

I looked up at him, “Sorry, what?”

He laughed, “You’re cute… I was just saying that I have someplace special to take you to for dinner.”

“Oh really?” I replied smiling. I ran my hand across the dashboard and bit my lip.

“Yes, but it’s a surprise, so you can’t ask about it.”
“Alright,” I said, the smile still not leaving my face.

In around twenty minutes, Harry drove into New York City. He found a parking spot a couple blocks away from where my old apartment was. He took my hand when I stepped out of the car.

“This way,” he said putting his sunglasses on. I followed him down familiar streets until he finally stopped me at a door with steps leading up.

“Harry where are we going?” I asked looking up at him.

“You don’t recognize where we are?” Harry asked, confused.
