Chapter 52

hello everyone! first, let me apologize how late this chapter is... idk why it took me so long to write this, but just blame my laziness again. SORRY!!!!! MADELINE’S P.O.V.

            In all honesty, I wasn’t really in the mood to socialize right now. I mean sure, these girls were some of my best friends, but I don’t know… I’d rather just cuddle up with Louis on the couch, with his arms wrapped around me.

            “So, what’s up?” Camille chirped as she plopped down in between Maya and me on the couch. I exhaled and looked at my hands.

            “We brought chocolate!” Kayla exclaimed happily. She pulled a couple boxes of chocolate out of one of the plastic bags she brought in with her. I sighed.

            “And I got soda and ice cream so we can make floats!” Danielle smiled and brought them into the kitchen.

            “Thanks,” Maya forced a smile.

            “Come on girly, we’ll have fun!” Camille wrapped her arm around Maya’s shoulders and squeezed her lightly.

            “I don’t know if tonight’s such a good night,” I started, my voice trailing off.

            “You too missy,” Camille grinned and hugged me too. I had a feeling this was going to be a long night.

            We were quiet for a little bit. The awkward silence filled the room and I sat crossed legged on the couch, wishing that time would pass by quicker.

            “Well, is there anything you girls want to get off your chests?” Danielle asked, crossing her legs on the single couch and leaning forward a little bit.

            I looked at Maya and I could tell we were both biting our tongues and trying not to cry. My eyes hurt from crying so much these past few days.

            “Well,” Maya mumbled.

            “Yeah?” Kayla pressed, sitting cross legged on the coffee table in front of her. She had her elbows on her knees and her chin in her hands.

            My cousin shrugged, and scrunched her hair a little bit, “I don’t know…” I heard her swallow, “I… I don’t know.”

            “Well how about you and Harry?” Camille turned a little bit towards Maya, smiling widely. I could see Maya biting her lip hard and the other girls looked at each other.

            “Anyway,” Kayla started looking at Danielle and Camille, “We just wanted to come to put a smile on your faces!”

            “Yeah!” Danielle exclaimed, “Maybe we can watch some funny movies…?”

            “I think that sounds like a great idea! Right girls?” Camille looked between the two of us and we merely nodded.

            “I’ll see if something’s on,” Danielle offered, grabbing the remote and turning on the TV.

            This should be fun…
