YAY!!!! BYE! <3

“Kayla, please, call me, I’m so worried,” I heard Niall say from my tiny guest bedroom. I waited a little bit before I heard him again, “Kayla, it’s me, please pick up your phone. I need to hear from you. Are you okay? Call me back.” Another couple minutes passed and Niall’s voice came back, “Kayla, please. Please, please, please call me. I love you.”

I sighed and heard him again, “Hi Harry.” I sat up in bed and listened more closely. “No, I haven’t heard from Maya…” I bit my lip. “I’m sure she’s close to you… Harry, I doubt she left you for good…” I closed my eyes and listened harder, “Harry, she’s probably as bad as you are. She doesn’t hate you, no, I can assure you that.”

I felt some more stupid tears falling down my face. I picked up my pillow and held it in a death grip.

“I’m sure she’s gotten your voicemails Harry… I’m really sorry. Yes, if I hear from her, I’ll call you.” I buried my face in the pillow, but continued listening, “You two should forgive each other. Sure, maybe running away wasn’t such a good idea for Maya, but she’ll come back because she loves you Harry. The two of you are married for Christ’s sake. You have to be strong Harry. Be strong for both you and Maya. If she truly loves you, she’ll come back to the house, okay? I can promise you that.”

Their conversation went on for around ten to fifteen more minutes, before I heard Niall say goodbye and hang up. He called the other guys, asking if they’d heard from Kayla, but it seemed that he got no’s from everyone he called. Finally, he went silent and I got out of bed to go talk to him. I slowly opened the door and saw him with his head back on the couch. I walked over and sat down next to him.

“Hey,” I said, still crying a little bit.

“Maya,” he said, “We shouldn’t be crying.”

“I know,” I whispered. I put my face in my hands and cried into my hands. I heard Niall start to breakdown too. I had to tell him. I was the only one who knew where Kayla was.

“Hey,” I said again. I used my thumb to wipe off some of his tears, “Kayla’s okay.”

“How do you know?” he whimpered.

“Because… I spoke to her before.”

He immediately sat up, “Wait, by before, when do you mean?”

            “Before you picked me up.”

            “What?! Where is she?!”

I sighed, “She told me not to tell you...”

He put his hands on my arms, “Maya, I need to know. I’m falling apart. I need to make sure she’s okay. Where did she go?”

“Kayla’s in Maine. Staying in a hotel. She might be with a friend, but I’m not sure. She told me not to tell you. She doesn’t want you going out to find her.”

His jaw dropped open a little bit, “But…”

            “She just needs some space.”
