With her sketchbook on her lap, and his eyes focused on his phone screen, Catherine couldn't help but smile at the thought that she was going on what she considered a vacation with Justin.
She had been so excited the past two days, taking yesterday off work just to pack up and double check that everything she wanted to bring was with her and secure.
"I don't like that one." She mumbled to Justin who was talking about the first tattoo he had gotten, the seagull on his waist. He knew that it was a family tradition type of thing, but it didn't mean that he liked it. "When my dad said I could get my first tattoo, I was hoping I could get like this huge thing on my arm but no, a seagull on my hip is what he wanted me to get. I forget I have it."
"That's because eighty percent of your body is tattooed and most are bigger than my hand. It's really small." He nodded, agreeing with her because he barely ever acknowledged the small ink etched onto his hip.
"What's the next one?" Next one? Catherine thought to herself, not thinking that Justin wanted something new. He hadn't talked about wanting anything and she tried to never bring up the fact that she had drawn up sketches of the things he liked the most. She knew it'd be a bad idea if she told him that she finished drawing that eagle he'd ask her to do a couple of weeks back. "Nothing."
