chapter 16

DREAM'S POV

I was just getting in when i got a call from an unknown number. I decided to answer since it might be important. I put my bag down sitting on the couch answering.

"Hello is this Dezyre Smith?" some lady asked.

"Yea why whats wrong?" I asked kind of scared that i even said that.

"Your husband and child have been involved in a critical accident come to the hospital immediately please" I dropped the phone snatching my keys out of my purse and heading out. I was such in a hurry that i didn't lock the door.

I took off my heels and ran down the stairs fast as I could. Starting the car i swerved off. I ran every red light i couldn't help but let tears flow out of my eyes, at least i didn't have to worry about police since they never did their job anyway. The hospital was right around the corner from my apartment thankfully.

I  pulled up 5 minutes later parking infront of the doors running in up to the front desk.

"Im here for Da'kari smith and Darious Johnson" i said out of breath.

"Ma'am you have to sign in first" she said nonchalantly gesturing over to the clip board. Hell naw fuck signing in!

"Fuck you and fuck signing in" I snapped running down the hall. She just sat there looking crazy but who cares right now?

I ran through the first floor and finally found them at the end of the hall being checked out by a doctor. I ran in grabbing Da'kari squeezing him. He had a couple scratches and a bruise but wasn't hurt bad. Darious on the other hand had broken his wrist along with scratches from the glass i guess and one of those cloth patches on his head.

"Baby" he said his voice cracking alittle. He smiled weakly at me and rushed over hugging him tightly.

"Darious what happened?!" i asked still kind of panicking.

"A huge truch hit Jace side of the car while he was was driving but nobody knows where he went, the police supposed to be coming to question me....Da'kari is fine though" he said smiling at me alittle more before focusing his attention back on the doctor wrapping his wrist up still.

A police walked in with a recorder and another with a note pad. They looked at me and one just smiled like a pervert.

"Your Darious right?"he asked pulling out a pen. Darious just nodded slowly looking at them. "Im officer butler and this is detective Don....we're just gonna ask a few questions about the accident. Is this your er...wife?" he asked pointing over to me.

"We engaged that's my son he was in the car with me" Darious said smirking over at me, I was surprised he said we were engaged, Detective Don just stared over at me his expression was priceless but i ignored it.

"So what happened?" Officer Butler asked taking a seat and turning on the recorder.

"Well we took Da'kari to walmart some weird hoe was following me around buri just shook it off, then i paid we left....we was crossing a green light when this big ass truck came plunging into Jace side, the car did a flip i heard Da'kari screaming but thats it....when i woke up i had to call the ambulance for myself since nobody had already, the front window of the car was broke and i guess he flew out and ran i really don't know but i know he panics in situations like this" I looked over to see what the detective had written and he put down everything he said including the curse words.

"Alright we gonna go look for him then...y'all have a goodnight" he waved and they left out. I sat on the hospital bed next to Darious holding Kari, i could've lost him i thought to myself rocking him leaning on Darious.

DARIOUS' POV

Im still trying to figure out why Jace would run or maybe he flew out or something i don't know. To tell the truth I'm worried bout him he just comes up missing....something's not right about this.

"You ok bae" Dezyre asked rubbing my arm, I just nodded pausing for a second. I don't have my phone damn and the police are going to the scene.

"Can i use your phone" i asked looking over at Dezyre.

"I don't have it i rushed here fast as possible...ehats wrong?" she look at me worried.

"Police+my phone= me probaly going to jail for a while" I got up realizing my fucking ankle was in pain. Fuck it i can take it. I went over to the hospital phone dialing Ron, the one i left in charge he answere on the first ring.

"Wassup" he said, i could tell he was high.

"Aye its Me...me and Jace go in an accident y'all ain't tell nobody about me going out on vacation right" I was hoping he said no but it was more to that.

"No but Amber bitch ass did, what happened?"

"Shit Jace went missing after the crash i think they found us Y'all keep everything on lockdown for real" i said before hanging up.

Dezyre was just starng at me but ain't shit new she know i been with this since we been going out back in highschool. I sat back on the bed trying to think if what happened I'm hoping somebody ain't come get him...hopefully he just left or something that wasn't so complicated.

"Uhm Darious everything ok?" she asked, i looked over into her eyes.

"No... I'm alittle off right now this was alittle sudden ya know?" She nodded laying Da'kari on the bed getting on my lap.

"No matter what happens I'll be here" she said almost in a whisper.

I nodded and we shared a kiss just as the doctor came in.

"You can leave now everything has been taking care of we just added the bill to your bank account." he said walking back out.

I got off the bed and she grabbed Kari, we walked out to her car and i couldn't help but laugh."You really parked infront of the doors huh" i smiled getting in.

She handed me Kari while i laid him in my lap so nobody would stop us since his carseat had been destroyed in my car. She kissed my cheek and drove off. She sped back to the house, while i took a shower and got comfortable. After she put Kari to bed she came and got ontop of me.

"you can't fuck a crippled person" i joked grabbing her waist.

"Who said anything about fucking?" she asked pulling off her shirt smiling.

"Don't start something you can't finish" i said sitting her beside me.

"You the only one that can't start or finish" she laughed undressing and walking in the bathroom and closing the door.This girl doing something to me!
