True friendship

If my day at school was tough,
You'd always be there for me,
To listen to what happened,
Make me feel better,
And the pain would ebb away,

When I started here I didn't feel like I belonged,
I felt ignored and had no friends,
Because I'm what they call weird,
Outside the norm,

I still remember the day we meet,
You were sitting behind me in class,
You were reading something that made me laugh,
And I turned around to talk to you,

From that day, you stuck by me,
You gave me a true friendship,
Even when your friends and classmates,
Commented and teased us,
You stayed beside me,

Even if we had nothing to say,
Your presence made me happy,
You know me better than anyone else,
And you are the best person in my life,

It's crazy how one little action,
Can change your life forever,
And that's what happened to me that day,
That day I met you.
