I'm always here

It tears me up to see you
Putting yourself down.
The suffering slowly eating you
From the inside.

Can't staunch the bleeding
As there is no wound to be found.
It's hidden on the inside,
And now it's starting to rot.

You don't have to do this
On your own,
I'm right here,
I'm always here.
Turn around and see

With your own eyes that
I chose to stay
By your side.
Open your eyes
And look into mine.

It's complicated, I know
And it's hard to know what to do.
But what's harder is to imagine,
My life without you.
I'm holding onto the pieces,

This puzzle is not by colour,
It has a gaping hole in it,
I'm struggling to complete.
But I'm not giving in.
I'm not giving up on you.

I don't know if you want me,
Or if you even care,
Regardless of your feelings
I'll always be there.
