I'm on my own,
Tonight the stars are shining
Brightly and they let me know,
That even though we are apart,
We still see the same sky,
Even when we aren't near
I'll meet you at the gates
Of my dreams,
We'll explore them together,
Hand in hand,
To a place where we
Can run free without
Any care in the world.
We're free to be
You and me.
During the day I smile to myself
Though you aren't there to see it,
I hope you feel it.
Even though we have to
Walk away, our paths
Always seem to meet again.
Tell me do you see me
In your dreams?
I still feel your arms
Around me,
I'd sleep forever if I could always
See you there.
So shut your eyes,
I'll see you again later tonight.
Meet me at our place,
Where the sky meets the water,
And the stars are reflected
In mirrors,
Like our hearts.
The morning light always
Comes too soon.
And it steals me away,
From you.
Even though we are far away,
All I have to do
Is close my eyes and run
Deep into my memories because
I know I'll find you there.
