Kendal

As I wake up it takes me a minute to process everything. Once I figure out where I'm at and who I'm with I'm completely bewildered. I don't know what to think.

I jump in my place slightly as my ringtone rips through the room. I'm quick to shoot up out of Ethan's grasp to grab my phone. It's Racheal.

"Hello." I whisper into the phone. "Where are you?!" She ask concerned.

Ethan shifts next to me and rubs the sleep from his eyes. I face palm as I listen to my best friend on the other line.

"You're gonna be so mad." I mutter as Ethan sits up. "You didn't stay with him did you?!" She ask now pissed off.

"I-I Uh did." I stammer as I look at Ethan. He's watching me closely as I try and calm my best friend down.

"I need my car for work." She sighs. "Alright I'll be there in a minute." I say glancing at Ethan.

I hang up the phone and Ethan is quick to plant a kiss on my cheek. I still don't know what to think about all of this.

"Why are you leaving?" He mutters. "Racheal needs her car." I sigh. He runs his hand through his hair as he thinks.

"I can have someone take it to her." He shrugs. "No it's fine. I should probably leave anyway." I mutter quickly.

"No stay." He says grabbing my wrist so he keeps me from leaving the bed. "We need to talk." He adds. This is true. I'm beyond confused and worried at this point.

I just nod slowly. He gets out of bed and makes his way to the small intercom in his room.

"Charles can you take the car to Kendal's friend." He speaks into the speaker as he holds down a red button.

I tighten my grip on the blanket as I press it against my bare chest. In a way I feel way too vulnerable which is strange because he saw me just last night. Maybe it's because now I'm in the right state of mind.

"Yes Mr. Dolan." Charles' voice finally rings through the speaker. Ethan turns and smiles at me and I can't help but smile back.

"If you'd like we can take this out to the hot tub. Wash some stress away." He grins. The idea makes me smile. It seems so inviting.

"I'll let you get ready. All of your things are exactly where you left them." He says as he slowly opens the door and steps out.

A large breath falls past my lips as I rub my hands against my eyes. This is too much. What did I do?

I groan as I flop back against the bed. My hair fans out across the pillow as I stare up at the ceiling. Maybe talking to him is what I need.

I slowly get myself out of bed as I search for a swim suit. He was right, everything is exactly where I left it. I'd expect him to throw all my things out by now.

I slip my swim suit on and throw my hair up. I glance at myself in the mirror and decide I look decent enough. He's seen me without make up before.

I make my way out to the backyard. The house is quiet and I suspect he's already in the hot tub.

I was right. As soon as I step outside I see him lounging in the bubbling water. I smile to myself as I make my way to the tub.

I step in and his head immediately snaps towards me. His eyes wonder up and down my body before I submerged myself in the warm water.

"How'd you sleep?" He ask, starting off with an easy question. "Good." I answer truthfully. "Me too. I missed you." He mutters as he looks deep into my eyes.

"I missed you too." I choke. I don't know why I'm being so honest right now. Maybe it's the fact that I think honesty will fix this whole thing.

"Why don't you stay?" He ask. I want to. I know I want to. "Ethan, I don't think that's a good idea." I sigh.

He sits up straight and makes his way towards me. He's now only inches away from me. "Why not?" He ask.

"I don't want to get hurt." I mutter. That's the best answer I got for him. It's probably the only thing keeping me from him. I know that there's a chance he'll hurt me and I'm not entirely sure if I'm ready to take that risk.

"I'm not gonna hurt you." He mutters as he places his damp hand on my cheek. "You've already told me that and look at where we are." I say on the verge of tears.

I wanted this to work out. I've never felt anything like this.

"I was stupid. I'd do anything Kendal. Please." He says practically begging me. I want to forgive him but what will I tell Racheal. What will I do if he does it again?

"I'll take care of you." He says barely above a whisper as he rubs the pad of his thumb against my now wet cheek. "Let me prove it to you." He begs.

I can't help but nod. All I've wanted this whole
Time was for him to change and to have him prove it to me. This seems like a decent decision.

He smiles before he attaches his lips with mine. The kiss is soft yet so powerful. It's one that reminds me of why I love him and why I'm so stuck on him.

"Your side of the bed is still open." He chuckles. "Good. That might've been a deal breaker." I joke so I lighten the mood.

"I really did miss you." He murmurs as he snakes his arms around me so he pulls me close. "I missed you too." I say barely above a whisper.
