"That was one long ass call," he mentioned, handing Taehyung a glass of something that sparkled.

"Yeah, uh, our friend is dealing with something right now and he called me to ask for some advice." It was a simple but hopefully believable lie. Thankfully, Jay didn't seem interested in his make-believe friend's make-believe problems, so he wouldn't have to create a whole story.

He took a sip of his drink after Jay sipped his own, quickly realizing it was alcoholic. It had a subtle but biting taste to it, too - something that Taehyung was certain he hadn't had before.

Jay sat down with his own drink in his hand, taking a sip as his knee found its way against the side of Taehyung's thigh. It was almost played off like an accident, but Taehyung knew better than to believe that.

"You know, why don't we take th-"

"I'm seventeen!" Taehyung's voice suddenly and desperately interrupted Jay, causing both sets of eyes to widen.

"Well. . .shit," he said slowly, obviously shocked by his outburst. "That would have been nice to know a good twelve hours ago.

Taehyung's face grew redder than he ever could have imagined. He leaned his elbows on his knees and buried is face into his hands, feeling unbelievably embarrassed.

"Maybe you should, uh," Jay cleared his throat. "Maybe you should leave."

Taehyung nodded and removed his face from his hands, not even glancing at Jay as he made the shameful walk to his front door and let himself out.

He groaned to himself as soon as he got into his car, hitting his palm against the side of the steering wheel a few times. He just wanted to disappear and never face Jay or anyone that knows him again for the rest of his life.

"I hate myself, I hate myself, I hate myself, I hate myself, I hate my-"

"Shut up already," Bogum whined. "I didn't ditch my friends to answer your call just so I can hear you tell me how much you hate yourself."

"But it was so bad!" Taehyung said, pouting heavily. "He probably hates me!"

"Don't stress so much, dude." Bogum chuckled lightheartedly. "It's not that bad. I'm sure he's probably more embarrassed than you for trying to sleep with a seventeen year old. I've got to go, alright? I'll see you in a few days."

Taehyung said his farewell and hung up, trying his best to believe his friend's words. He checked the date on his phone and counted up, figuring there were only three days until he would get to complain to Bogum in person.

They would both be getting off for a school holiday, though Bogum's school was released the day before. It was their last holiday before summer break, which was only in about two months.

Just as he was about to pull out of the random parking lot he was currently sitting in, his phone went off - this time Yoongi's number being displayed.
