Chapter 19 - A New Clue

You were now glaring at the creature in front of you, which took the shape of you. Even if it does look like you, it couldn't be able to match your skills at combat or assassination.

You have no problem with identifying who the real (Y/N) is because you are (Y/N), but you can see Dipper is having a hard time just by watching you and the other you fighting.

"Let go!" you shouted as it was trying to get the journal away from your hands.

"No, you let go!"

You and it fighted for a while until the journal was covering its face, you being unable to see it's face and both of you in a stand still position, both trying to get the journal. This was when Dipper decided to jump in and help.

"Dipper! Hit it with my dagger!" you shouted.

"No! Hit her!"

"It's the shapeshifter!"

"Don't listen to her!"

"I... I... I don't know who's who." Dipper panicked and said nervously, you can see him sweating while looking at you and it back and forth. "Give me a side."

You took a peak and saw the shapeshifter winking at Dipper, for a second there he seemed convinced. "A sign... a sign... a sign... What should I gave?!? Wait, I know!" you shot Dipper a death cold glare, which Dipper froze a little and smiled afterwards.

Dipper tighten his grip on your dagger and shove it into the creature's stomach area, it lets go of the journal and backed away screaming.

Dipper also backed away without pulling the dagger out. It's voice started to change back to the original one, and so did it's form.

Dipper ran to your side, you noticed one of the glass cylinders has a green light blinking 'READY', then an idea popped into your head, you grinned.

It stopped scream and grab the dagger out then throwing it away, facing you and Dipper now. "Dipper!"

"Push him in!" Dipper and you ran towards it shoved it into the glass cylinder.

When it stood back up, the glass door closed and it ran into it.

"Huh?" you and Dipper didn't expect that to happen as all.

"It was probably Mabel's doing." you told Dipper.

"Ya you're right..." Dipper gave you a smile of relieve.

"No!" it started changing form to get out of the glass confinement but to no avail. "NO!" it screamed and froze.

"Let's get out of here dudes." Soos said and you all nodded, you all started to hand towards the door but heard laughing sounds from behind you.

It faced its hands on the glass and said, "You all think you're so clever... Don't you... but you have no idea what you're up against. You will never find the author! You keep digging and you'll meet a fate worse than you can imagine!"

"You must be joking with me... I fate worse than I can imagine? Please!..." you rolled your eyes at it's warning.

"And this will be the last form you ever take!" it turned to Dipper and started screaming while it froze, permanently.

"Ha ha, you luck sleeping tonight..." Soos joked and you took him a glare. Then he shut up.

You and the gang left the bunker and watch as the tree goes back up to the ground level. "Nice secret base..."

"Okay, I'm going to head home." Wendy said and got into her bike. "I still going to come for the movie night though. You place next time, Dipper!" and Wendy rode off out of the woods.
