Bumpy road

I gave Grayson a quick peck as we got out of the car both of us in great moods.

Suddenly the back door of the car had opened, I looked behind me to see Parker running out and to the house doors

I chuckled at how energetic he was today.

Grayson and I have been together for almost four years now as a married couple, a year after getting married we decided to adopt Parker.

I've always been a little nervous about when he will have to go to school but Parker seems to be a very strong individual who isn't afraid of who he is and who his parents are which makes me proud.

I held Grayson's hand as we walked to the front door of our house, I unlocked it and opened it allowing Parker to rush through the doors and downstairs to his playroom.

I closed the door behind Grayson and I and suddenly pushed him against a wall kissing him softly yet eagerly

The thing about having a kid is that you don't really get to y'know, do it as much.

But I'm fine with it because I love Parker with all my heart.

"Daddy's! Come play with me!" Parker yelled from downstairs

I smiled as I dropped my head on Grayson's chest, Grayson chuckled and ran a few fingers through my hair.

"We're coming!" Grayson called

He soon pushed himself off the wall and we began to walk downstairs to Parker.

10 years later.

I sat with Grayson as we watched a movie,

Parker is at school right now so we have plenty of time to be together.

Parker had just turned thirteen and he has been doing amazingly in school, he is one of the top kids in his class.

Suddenly my phone began to ring, I picked it up and answered it without reading the Id.

"Hello Mr. Dolan?" The woman spoke

"Yes?" I answered, Grayson looked at me and sat up interested in what was going on

"This is the school calling to inform you Parker Dolan has been suspended for fighting another student" the woman said

"So do I have to pick him up now?" I asked Grayson growing more and more interested as he moved his ear closer to the phone to listen on the conversation

"Yes, please" she spoke

I nodded even though she couldn't hear it and I hung up.

"Parker what the hell were you thinking? Now you've gotten suspended!" Grayson yelled as I drove back home

"Parker do you not know anything? You're supposed to beat the kid up where no teachers can see you and then threaten him so he doesn't tell anyone!" I yelled glancing back at him from the rear view mirror

Grayson's eyes widened as he slapped my arm

"Don't listen to him!" Grayson said giving me a death glare

"It's not my fault! The kid was making fun of me and you guys!" Parker stated

Me and Grayson both gave each other the same look, we both saw this coming since we got him.

"Oh, well instead of fighting next time maybe walk away or just go to your friends and talk to them they can probably cheer you up" Grayson said now a little less mad and more sympathetic

"That's the thing, I don't have any friends, no one wants to be friends with me, I haven't even done anything wrong they all just hate me!" Parker said tears welling up in his eyes

I took Grayson's hand and squeezed it, "I went through that too, so did your daddy but you can't start fights it will only make it worse" Grayson said before turning around

"We continue this at home" I said

Parker nodded and became quiet, I felt bad for him, I know how hard it is to be left out.

It sucks.
