(Abigail's pov)

I smiled as we got all our luggage loaded into the limo. Today was the day we were headed back to Texas. It was a nice break from being in Texas and hockey but, I was ready to be sleeping in my own bed.

I sat besides Kari in first class while in front of us sat Amanda and Tyler. They had the Blind Side playing in the background but, I don't think anyone was actually watching the movie.

Kari glanced at his phone and then at me. "Hey babe," he said grabbing my hand. "Yes?" I asked. His eye looked nervous. "Umm I don't know how to tell you this," he said. "What is it?" I questioned nervous. "Jordie and Jamie had a party at our house while we were gone," he said scratching the back of his neck. "They what!" I exclaimed shocked. "Damn I missed it!" Tyler said pouting.

I sighed as Kari showed me the pictures on twitter. I shook my head but, couldn't help but chuckle. "Why our house?" I asked him. "I have no clue," Kari said shrugging.

After the trip back home I couldn't wait to go pick up Cat. My parents insisted bringing her up to me tomorrow. "Kari will you go pick up some marshmallows, gram crackers, and chocolate?" I asked puppy dog face on. "Are we making s'mores?!" he questioned excitement all over his face. "only if you go buy the stuff," I told him smiling. "Okay!" he exclaimed like a little kid grabbing his keys before pecking my lips and running out of the house excited.

I had unfinished packing our suitcases when I heard the door open. "Babe?" Kari shouted. "Up stairs," I told him. "I picked up the stuff but, I got a couple extra things," he told me. "What did you get?" I asked walking into the kitchen. As soon as I turned the corner I froze.

"A puppy! You got a puppy!" I asked shocked staring at the little chocolate lab puppy. "Well the guy was only selling her for 100$ and I couldn't leave her she was just so cute," he said picking up the puppy. It started licking his face and I couldn't help but smile. "Well what's her name?" I asked Kari. "I was thinking we could name her S'more since that's how I bought her?" he asked. I smiled. "S'more it is," I said as he put the adorable puppy down. She skidded over to me. I bent down and pet her soft fur. "What are we gonna do with him?" I asked the puppy. She just licked my face causing me to laugh.

Kari started the fire while I got all the stuff ready for s'mores and hot dogs. We sat on a blanket on the grass. S'mores (the puppy) walked around surveying her new backyard. "Can we just skip dinner and eat desert!" Kari whined like a little boy. "You have to eat at least one hotdog," I playfully scolded. Kari brought his IPhone and a speaker outside and hooked up the phone so country music was playing. I smiled as we roasted the hot dogs. I hummed to the song Drunk on a plane.

"Babe have I told you I love you?" Kari asked as I sung quietly to the song. "Once or twice," I giggled. "I love your smile. I love your laugh. I love the way you put everyone before yourself. I love how you mumble to yourself. I love your cooking. I love how much you love hockey. I love how much your family means to you. I love how happy you are. I love that your independent but, need me. I love everything about you," he told me kissing my lips so passionate. "I love you too," I told him tearing up. "I know babe," he said smiling cheekily.

After we ate our hotdogs Kari was immediately grabbing the things for s'mores. "I love s'mores," he stated causing me to chuckle. "I can tell," I told him. Kari made a s'more for himself while I did the same. "Does your even melt," he chuckled at me. "Yes! I just don't let mine burn," I said sticking my tongue out at him. After finishing eating a couple s'mores we laid on the blanket staring up at the stars.

I had my head on Kari shoulder while his arm was wrapped around my body. "it's beautiful out here," I said quietly as music played in the background. Kari abruptly stood up. "May I have this dance Miss," he said bowing. I giggled. "You may my good sir," I said smiling. Kari and I then proceeded to what I now decided was our song.

"We can leave the night on," Kari whispered in my ear singing each beautiful lyric to me as we danced around the backyard. I giggled leaning into Karis chest. "I have the most beautiful fiancé in the whole world," Kari told me as we stood there in each others arms as the next song began to play. "I should be saying that about you babe," I told him wrapping my arms around his neck. As if S'more though we forgot about her she jumped up pawing at Karis leg. "Someone's jealous of you," Kari chuckled. I giggled patting the puppies head. "Actually a lot of girls are jealous of you," he commented in his thick Finnish accent causing me to chuckle. "They have a right to be," I said pecking his lips.

I cleaned up the stuff from our little bonfire. Kari and I now sat besides each other on the couch. "I think we should make a list of things to do this summer," he told me before standing up and grabbing a pen and paper. "Kari you have off season I still have to work," I told him once he sat back down. "you don't have to," he frowned. It made me sad to see him upset so I decided to put an idea on there. "I want to visit Finland and meet your friends see here you grew up," I told him. He wrote that down under go fishing. "Plan our wedding," I chuckled. He wrote it down. After an hour of talking we had a lengthy list.

• Go fishing

• go to Finland

• plan our wedding

• visit Canada

• go to Paris France.

• Go to Disney world

• Go camping

• Go to Las Vegas

• Get Cat started in a figure skating program

Of course the most important and stressful event was planning a wedding but, I was also excited and so was Kari.

I laid beside Kari in bed leaving kisses on his cheek. "You missed my lips," Kari pouted pointing to his lips. I laughed and kissed his lips sweetly. "I love you Kari," I told him smiling brightly. "I love you more," he said and then sat up strait. "Oh my gosh! I almost forgot I bought you something," Kari said springing out of bed waking up S'mores who was asleep on the end of our bed. She lifted he head up looking at me and then the direction Kari went. I just shrugged at the puppy.

Kari came back holding a bag. He thrust the bag out to me. I grabbed it and I opened the gift. I smiled it was a hoodie that said 'Lehtonen' on the back but, on the front it said 'Lehtonens girl' and had the Stanley cup playoffs patch on the right side. It also had his number 32 written across the back. I smiled,"I love it." I then put it over my head and tossed the bag off the edge of the bed. I cuddled into Kari and sighed contently.
