Stability was what kept the mind sane. It gives a sense of normality, gives the mind the ability to think and tell right from wrong. The correct environment and how a person is raised is what gives them the sense of stability. I did not get to experience that.

I was lied to my entire life. A harsh realizations that I had just come to learn about. My father isn't my father, he is my uncle instead. My true father, my biological father, is still alive. Yet, this did not change the fact that I am a murderer, that I have taken the lives of innocent people, including my own mother.

Despite these things, I managed to keep at least a sliver of my sanity. I am far from normal or what society sees as perfect but I'm still surviving. I was still grasping onto the necessities needed to survive out in the wild, alone for years without anyone to depend on.

Now, I'm back to living with society instead of against it. I'm now accepted into a pack, my pack. Over the months that I have been living here I had learned to conform with them, to learn theirs ways of life.

Along the way, I found someone that has become so important to me. He has become someone I can depend on, someone I can trust. That man, my mate, has become someone that I love dearly. Through the struggles and the abuse, I overcame them all and my other half in life, one who loves me back. The one who allows me to keep my sanity, by saving me from myself, my mind and my past.

"What are you thinking so hard about?" Two strong arms wrapped around my waist, pulling me up against a chiseled and bare chest. Brushing his lips against my ear he whispered," Why are all the way out here?"

"I've never been out here before." I said, intertwining my fingers with his. The bright rays of the organs sun started setting behind the tall evergreen. The sky was streaked purple and pink, tinting the white, puffy clouds. Out of all the times I've been in his room, our room, I never even bothered to come out here.

"It's so beautiful out here." I commented, leaning back against him. Placing a kiss on the back of my neck, he shifted and rested his chin on the top of my head.

"Mhmm." His chest rumbled. "I only wanted the best for you." Not bothering to respond, I squeezed his hands a bit harder as a silent thank you, appreciating everything he has ever done to me.

Rubbing his cheek against my hair, he grabbed my hips and turned me around to face him. Poking me on the nose, he rested his forehead against mine. "What have you been thinking about?" He asked me again.

"Things." I said vaguely before correcting myself. "Family. You."

"Family and I?" He looked at me with a bright glint in his eyes.

"Yeah?" I questioned.

"Come one inside." He pulled on my hand. "It's starting to get cold out." Which he was right, the cold was seeping through the early evening. Even though it was Spring, the nights still got a bit cold.

Bending down, he grabbed my thighs and lifted my up until my legs were wrapped around his waist, making me yelp. Pulling back the covers, he slid is both onto the bed and I flipped over so we could lay face to face. His long, warm fingers brushed over my cheek, tucking a stand of my hair behind my ear.

"What's this about family?" He asked, rubbing this thumb back and forth on my cheek.

"I-I was just thinking how alone I am. A person in my family took me away from the rest of them and treated me horrible. It-it's like I don't even have a family anymore. I don't even exist to them." Scooping me into his arms, he tucked my head into his neck and began to rub my back.

"I have always considered you my family, even before I even met you. So does my mom and dad. We will always see you as part of our family."

"Really?"

"Of course. You have always been apart of us, we just didn't know yet."

"Thank you."

We laid there in silence for a while, taking in the comfort coming from each other. His hand continued to run across back back and hair while mine traced the indentions from his muscles. His skin was emitting heat, warming me up and sending tingles through my body when his skin met mine.

"Have you even thought about having a family with me?" He suddenly asked, making me pause my actions and look up at him.

"Honestly, I haven't really thought about it." I was to busy with everything going on that my future hadn't even crossed my mind, especially with him. I was afraid that he would hurt me, that he would give me a reason to leave him and not come back.

"Do you think that you would ever want to?" His eyes held a worried glint but they had a bright glint of hope. Kids hadn't even been a priority to me. I was too busy reign to keep myself alive that I couldn't even think about raising and taking care of another being.

"I guess that eventually I would want to." I answered honestly. "I don't not want kids but I haven't really taken it into consideration yet."

"Thank you for being truthful to me." He said. "Just so you know, I have thought about it." He looked into my eyes with such an intensity that my heart pounded in my ears.

"I love kids." He admitted. "And I would love them so much more if I had them with you."

"You're really cute, you know."

"I imagined having sons to play with and teach and I also had a little princess to spoil."

"How many kids are you expecting?" I asked a little afraid of the answer.

"I'm not expecting any, only the one or as many as you are willing to give me." He said, leaning down and giving me a hot, searing kiss.
