Kate's prov

"Why do you care?" He thought "Because she is my friend and I care about my friends" he said in a duh...! Tone, I just rolled my eyes. We ate our dinner silently and observed everything about this restaurant, I called for check but Jake made his way and grabbed it before me " hey.. what?" I asked annoyed " My treat" he shrugged, "Ohh.... no no no I don't need your treat Jake. Only friends and family is allowed to pay for me. You know self respect!" I told him emphasising on the last part. He tried to reason with me but gave up eventually and then, we left. I was about to walk towards my car but he called me "Wait..." I turned around, he jogged up to me and continued " Can I come with you? I wanna meet Anna but I don't know where she lives actually." I was about to protest but then I remembered what he said earlier 'he cared about Anna'... so I nodded and started walking towards my car. He followed me with his car to Anna's house, the moment I stopped my car's engine, Anna burst opened her front doors and came running for me but stopped right in her tracks, when she saw Jake. " Hi..." she waved at Jake, gave me the 'What is he doing here' look and walked in his direction. "Hi...I am really sorry Ann, I totally forgot about the whole leaving thing." He said and then pulled her in a hug....... it has to be a dream..! All of it.. it has to be... Ann?? Seriously?  A hug?........ Ummm kill me..? Omg..He stole my best friend. I feel like pulling them apart right now but....... what if Anna likes him? What about Alex? I liked him for Anna..... "Kate?" Anna tapped on my shoulder, I looked at her in confusion, "Let's get inside." She suggested. I started walking but noticed Jake following us inside, I suddenly started getting annoyed "What do we do now Anna Hydon? We are all best friends with him now?" I asked her in a serious tone because I am angry, I use full names when I am angry..... " Clam down Kate! I just wanted to meet Ann, I'll leave now." Jake raised his hands in the air while saying. "Ya I guess you should...but see you soon." Anna said while hugging him and waved him goodbye. She turned and gave me all the answers I needed

" Yes... I am friends with the 'jerk' because I wanted to know why he treats you like that but he didn't actually told me. When I talked to him he was super nice, saved me from Alex, told me that he's a player, cared for me and I started liking him.... Please don't hate me for this. Please, Please,Please....." she kept saying please..and made funny but cute faces, so I nodded while saying " Okay. I don't hate you, but just be careful ok?" She squealed and we spent the whole night talking, dancing, singing like mad people ,laughing and crying at the end because we remembered she was leaving.
