Chapter 9: At Johan's

Third POV:

That evening, after Edward Cyril and Lucian cleaned up everything in Johan's room and put it back in its place, Klaus and Gabriel cleaned up all the pills in the bathroom and put them back in the bottle, Edgar and Elizabeth were making something in the kitchen for everyone to snack on and Julian helped the doctor change Johan out of his uniform and into his pajamas, the group was sitting in the living room waiting for the doctor to finish his examination. It was then that Edgar and Elizabeth came in carrying two trays and Edgar said, "I thought everyone would like a cup of lemon honey tea and some blackberry scones."

After the two of them set their trays on the coffee table, Julian thanked Edgar and Elizabeth and the group helped themselves to a cup. A few minutes later, the doctor came down the stairs and Julian set his cup down, got off the couch and approached the man and asked, "How is he doctor?"

The doctor then explained, "I gave him an injection to keep him sedated for a while so the boy is sleeping comfortably. Plus, I did an examination on him to see if he took any of those capsules that those boys collected."

He then looked at Elizabeth and asked her, "Young lady, when you walked in on him, did you see him take any of those pills he spilled?"

Elizabeth shook her head and told him that Johan didn't and that he was have trouble getting the cap off. The doctor nodded in understanding and said, "Well it's a good thing he didn't and you stopped him from taking any cause he would've been dead in an instant if he took just one."

"What do you mean sir?" Edward asked curiously.

The doctor looked at him and said, "Because each one of those pills contains poison. Basically, they contain powder from a plant called Wolf's Paw. The flower itself is harmless, but its roots when ground up make a fine powder that if consumed, it can instantly kill a person in just a few seconds."

Cyril then asked, "So my angel will be okay then?"

"Body wise, yes. Mind wise, I'm not sure," the doctor said.

Julian held out his hand and he and the doctor shook them and he thanked the doctor for all his help. While Julian was escorting the doctor out, the rest of them looked at each other and it was Edgar who asked first, "Now what?"

Cyril then said, "What do you mean now what? Johan tried to kill himself today and we don't have no clue why he would when we're with him."

It was then that Lucian raised his hand just as Julian cane back into the room and Lucian said, "I think I might know why. Gabriel whispered it to me just as we heard the news."

Edward furrowed his eyes in seriousness and asked, "What did Gabriel tell you Lucian?"

Lucian then went on to explain that Gabriel used his clairvoyance the other day and he saw Anastasia talking to Johan and that she was saying some pretty harsh things to him. He also saw that it was also Anastasia who slipped the bottle into Johan's pocket. When Lucian was done explaining, they all stared with wide eyes and Cyril said, "I can't believe it?! His own sister?!"

"The poor thing. He got depressed and almost took his own life because of her," Elizabeth added in.

Julian then stepped forward, took out an orb and placed it on the table and said, "I don't think that's the only thing. Look through this kids." And they did and the group watched the scene unfold that afternoon.

Edward, Lucian, Elizabeth and Cyril watched and listened and they saw Johan was in the scene. They watched with wide eyes when Johan heard what Edward said and he ran off before he could hear the rest of it. Elizabeth placed her hands over her mouth in shock and Cyril spoke up first and said in shock, "I can't believe this. Not only is he taking this cruelty from his sister, but he ran off because he overheard a misunderstanding."
