I don't think I'd ever dress this fancy to school before. Ever.

Olivia had me wearing a black pantsuit with a white collared shirt underneath.

We were waiting outside the gym doors for Weller to introduce us. It was time for the Presidential debate, sort of the only time we'll get to talk to the whole student body.

"So remember what we went over? I talk for most of it, you add some convo in there every now and then." Olivia reminded.

"We'll see about that." I muttered.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, this morning is our Student Body Presidential Debate, and our two candidates are..Grace and Jacob! And Olivia and Astrid!" Weller said into the microphone.

The four of us walked up on the stage and took our seats opposite each other. Grace and Jacob went first.

"Hi everyone, I'm Grace. Former cheerleading captain, but recently have turned over a new leaf, one that will not only benefit myself, but this community." She smiled. "I'm no longer somebody's puppet, I stood up for myself, and I'm encouraging you to do the same."

"In order for us to live our senior year with no regrets, no drama, or any crap we've had to put up with in the past, we need someone who knows our best interests, will put the students needs first before their own, and that person is Grace." Jacob said.

"I plan to end all stereotypes, and bring us all together as one student body." She explained. "We all are equal, and deserve to be treated as such. I want to end seclusion, I want to stop bullying, I want to make our halls safer, for not only the students, but for teachers and other faculty as well."

"We want to organize more field trips and have more fundraisers throughout the year to gain money for each class. We want to take any of your concerns and improve on whatever we can." She smiled.

"So if you want someone in office who will do all those things and more, make sure to vote Grace and Jacob for this year's election!" Jacob finished off their speech before they took their seats.

Olivia handed me a piece of our notes, but I ripped them in half and stood up. If we were going to do this, I wanted to seem as genuine as possible, and say what comes from the heart.

I'd probably get in trouble with Olivia later on, but it felt right.

"Hi everyone, I'm Astrid, and this is Olivia. She's been the current reigning student body president for three years now, and in that time, I understand she's done things you don't agree with, that you deem unfair and wish were changed..well that will be changed with me in office beside her." I revealed.

"I will not stand for favoritism, I want to get through these months, graduate, and go onto college, as most of you want to do as well. I can assure you we have so many ideas in store for this year if you let us have the opportunity to make them happen."

Olivia grabbed the mic from me. "Yes we do..a few of them being simple things such as separating the student and teacher parking lots. Others being addressing the issues at our school with weekly meetings with any students welcome to attend, and give their opinions."

I noticed students heads nodding, agreeing with us.

"We'll have more assemblies with members of our community, such as drunk driving, or drug abuse. We will show our school pride more, with pep rallies and putting on more plays throughout the year. Any other clubs who want to participate in more activities throughout the year, feel free to give us suggestions..because with me and Astrid as presidents, it is all about YOU." Olivia finished her speech, leaving everyone shocked.
