The next few weeks flew by so quickly. When I wasn't at school, I was either working or hanging out with Olivia or Jon.
Speaking of Jon, things were going really great between us. We still hadn't brought up what to label us, but I was taking his advice to just enjoy our time together.
He's been getting offered more gigs lately all over Ohio. I was proud of him for getting more recognition and building a bigger following.
I was also proud of Olivia, she'd been going to her drug abuse awareness classes and since her and Grace buried their hatchet and became friends again, I noticed she's definitely a lot happier.
But I was still surprised to see her barge into the diner early on a Saturday morning.
"Astrid! Here, I filled this out just like Libby said!" She threw a paper at me.
I gave her a confused look as I scanned the title, which read APPLICATION FOR PETE'S PIZZERIA.
"Uhhhh..." I trailed, not quite sure what was going on.
"Ah, I was expecting this, Olivia!" Libby appeared and grabbed the paper from my grasp. "I will look it over for sure and get back to you soon!"
"Great.." Olivia smiled in relief. "Thank you so much Libby!"
As soon as she left, I turned to Libby. "What is all that about?"
"I might've promised Olivia a job here, accidentally. That girl has a good memory," Libby chuckled. "But she came in asking for an application last week, so I gave her one I had floating around."
"Pete's Pizzeria?" I questioned, "At least she didn't notice."
"Now I gotta figure out how to break it to her she didn't get hired...got any ideas?" Libby raised an eyebrow curiously.
"Why can't you hire her? She can clean the tables or wash the dishes, something small." I suggested.
"I don't know hon..whenever she comes in here, I notice customers seem a little on edge..I mean, she's got a strong personality if you've noticed," Libby pointed.
"Trust me, I know firsthand. But, I could train her. Teach her how to use manners and be nice to people." I shrugged.
"Hmmm...that doesn't seem like a totally bad idea.." Libby sighed, "But I'm giving her only once chance. She screws it up, you get to be the one to tell her."
"I'm sure she'll do great!" I smiled, beginning to feel overly confident. I mean..how hard could it be?

The Next Day
This seemed impossible!
I had just started training Olivia and she'd already caused 4 customers to get up and leave. Without paying, Might I add.
To make matters worse, Libby left to run to the bank, and I promised her nothing bad would happen while she was gone.
"Okay, here comes another girl. Remember what I told you, seat her at a booth, give her a menu, be NICE." I instructed.
I watched Olivia approach her, lead her to a booth, so far so good. She handed her a menu then glanced down at her feet. What..
"Are you sure those shoes are the most stylish to wear? I bought those five years ago..they're a little out dated now.." She grimaced.
"Excuse me?!" The lady scoffed.
"I'm being honest! Check the latest fashion magazines, I could send you some of my own!" Olivia said. "In fact, we look the same size, I could sell you some of my shoes I don't want anymore.."
