I got in my mom's car without thinking and then remembered I have no clue where The Ignition is. Good thing she has GPS. I typed in the name and the directions popped up instantly. Twenty minutes.

Those twenty minutes my mind was racing with endless thoughts about what the hell had happened. Why was Jon at the bar where Ellie worked? What did he do for her to call me? Did he do this because of our talk earlier? Is this..my fault?

No, it's not. I shouldn't blame myself for his choices. I have to go into this assuming he's drunk, why else would he go there? I parked the car right out front of the underage bar and ran inside, not caring how crazy I probably looked.

Ellie waved me over to the back table, where she was sitting with Jon. He had a huge cut on his forehead and was holding an ice pack on his jaw. When he looked at me his eyes were glazed. Yeah, he was hammered.

"HEY ASTRID! Areeeeee you still pissyyyy?" He slurred, swinging an arm around me.

"Yes, I am. I was in the middle of having dinner with my mom," I snapped, removing his arm off me.

I turn to Ellie who's watching us with curiosity. "Thanks for calling, I'm sorry about this."

"Don't be, we get a lot of drunk teens in here," Ellie waved her hand trying to make light of the situation.

"Hey bartender!" A guy tapped his glass against the counter, signaling Ellie.

"Go, I got this." I assured. "Dinner on me this week."

"Deal. Good luck," Ellie gives me a quick hug before going back behind the bar. I glance at Jon, who's lying across the table. He's pretty much dead weight, and I'm not strong enough to drag him back to the car.

"Need some help?" A familiar voice rasped. I looked to the side and saw Rex stepping down off the stage.

"Rex? What're you doing here?" I wondered, as he picked up Jon and held him up.

"Ellie got me a DJ gig here," He explained. "I figured she'd call you to come get him."

"What happened?" I questioned as I followed him outside to the car.

"All I remember seeing is some guy spills a drink on him and one thing led to another," Rex explained.

"It was the other guy's fault...h-he spilled my fucking drink!" Jon scoffed as Rex put him in the backseat.

"Thanks for helping, and I'm sorry," I give him a grateful smile. "Oh, there's a farewell party at our house Friday night, you can stop by if you'd like."

"Farewell party? For who?" Rex perked his eyebrow.

"Jon, he's moving to Florida after graduation for wrestling. Got a big tryout for the WWE." I explained.

"Wait, your still going to Harvard right?" He inquired.

"Yeah, of course.." I nodded.

"Mhm, interesting.." Rex muttered to himself. "I'll see you Friday Astrid.."

"Yeah, see you then." I watched as he headed back inside the bar. That was sort of a weird conversation, but I'll ignore it. There's too much going on. One of them being the annoying drunk in the backseat.

"I'm glad y-your dating me and not that Ryan guy!" Jon exclaimed.

"It's Rex," I corrected as I began driving back home. "And we didn't even date, we just hooked..you know what, just shut up, please."

Yeah, I was definitely thankful I stopped my big mouth from blabbing. What happened with me and Rex was in the past. It didn't matter now.

When I pulled into the driveway, I noticed another car was parked there as well. Last I checked we weren't expecting any visitors.
