1 Month Later..
"How come you always get the remote?!" I grumbled, kicking Ellie playfully.
"Because I have the best taste in shows!" She stuck her tongue out back at me. "Let's see what's on.."
She began flicking through channels, landing on one in Japanese.
"Oh yeah, you pick great shows!" I mocked, "I'll get the snacks."
I head to the kitchen and get our usual of pretzels, popcorn, and ice cream sundaes. This became our thing every Friday night, have all nighters of watching TV then sleep all day on Saturday.
Ellie was certainly helping me keep my mind off of..that certain guy I sometimes think about. Sometimes. But now, I believe I had fully moved on.
I don't drive past Mitch's facility anymore. Or try to look up which shows he's performing at. I don't even check Olivia's social media's, not wanting to barf at photos of them together.
See, I've been making progress.
"We don't have soda, but I think water will do, right?" I giggled as I walked back into the living room. Ellie was frozen, her eyes glued to the screen.
"What?" I question, turning my head to see what was so intriguing. Until I saw it.
It was Jon wrestling. Gosh, it felt like I hadn't seen him in years.
He's gotten more muscled, that's for sure.
I set down the snacks slowly just as he was declared the winner. I turned off the TV, as an awkward silence came between me and Ellie.
"I-I'm kinda tired...think ill head to sleep.." I sighed, trudging up the stairs.
"Alright, I'm Uh, gonna watch a movie then I'll be up." Ellie gave me a sympathetic smile.
I grabbed my phone off my night stand and typed in Olivia's Instagram. I couldn't help it now. Seeing him on that screen, it's like I ruined my month of not caring.
Or did I ever really stop caring?
Ugh, that were that really annoying couple that took pictures of everything they did. She went to his training, out to eat with his wrestling buddies, visited him in Philly, and wait! Went with him to the airport to say goodbye when he left for Japan.
He's in Japan wrestling for six months. Wow.
We always talked about when he made it big. I said I would be there front row, cheering him on.
But that was before.
And this is now. I was proud of him for making big steps like this, really working for his dream.
But it wasn't my job to care anymore. He had someone else. It was over.
It hurt a little as I deleted all my social media accounts, but I needed to take big steps to work for MY dreams as well.
That night was the first time in forever that I slept the whole night. And it felt amazing.

"I'm surprised a teenager doesn't have any plans on a Saturday night.." Kathie looked at me surprisingly.
"Trust me, there's no where I'd rather be." I assured. Me and Kathie were binge watching Criminal Minds.
"Where's Ellie? Or that other boy you used to hang out with..Rox?" She questioned.
"Rex.." I corrected, giggling softly. "And actually, Ellie's busy bartending a party tonight. And I, don't talk to Rex anymore."
"Well why not?" She demanded, pausing the show.
