"Damn there's some good looking girls around here," Rex whistled, swiping through Tinder.
"Well were only here for two more days so better make it quick," Ellie reminded, eyeing me.
"I thought you two?"
"Yeah, but we didn't make it a rule saying neither of us could date. If one of us did, we'd end it of course." I shrugged, lowering my sunglasses.
"Mhmmm.." She gave me a look before returning her attention to her magazine.
"What does that mean?" I questioned.
"Nothing..you can make your own decisions..I just have concerns that you guys are gonna regret not making it a rule.." She sung.
"I can tell you right now, we won't regret it. At all." I crossed my arms defiantly.
"Whatever you say.." She giggled. We laid by the pool till it got dark then headed inside. Rex ordered a pizza while Ellie and I changed out of our suits.
Half an hour later, Ellie and I were rummaging for a snack when we heard a car coming up the driveway.
Rex peeked out the window and cursed to himself. "Guys, we gotta leave, like now,"
"What?" I scoffed, thinking he was playing some sick joke on us. "Nice try Rex, but we're
Not falling for it."Ellie's face turned white. "Wait..are they back?!"
"Yeah!" Rex exclaimed, "Grab your bags now!"
He ran up the stairs and Ellie pulled me along. "Can someone tell me what's going on!" I pleaded.
"We will after, go go go!" Ellie demanded, dashing into her room. I quickly went into mine, mentally thanking myself for not unpacking my bags. I grabbed everything and followed them downstairs and to the back exit.
The front door burst open, "WHO THE HELL IS IN OUR HOUSE?!" What?!
Rex quietly opened the door and we all piled out and ran around the house, making a beeline for the car.
Rex sped out of the driveway and I turned my head back just in time to see a man and what looked like his wife shouting at us from the lawn.
I whipped around, glaring at the two. "What the hell was that?!"
They exchanged nervous looks. "Listen Astrid..we can explain.."
"It was Ellie's idea!" Rex said, pointing at her.
"Thanks jackass," She grumbled. "But in my defense, they were supposed to stay at their in laws house the whole week.."
"Who's house was that?!" I shook my head.
"My birth parents.." Ellie trailed. "I tracked em down last summer, they turned out to be rich assholes, but their house was easy to break into..I thought it'd be nice for us to have a vacation."
"We couldn't of gone to a hotel?!" I sighed.
"I'll remember that for next time.." She supplied, cracking a smile.
We all burst out laughing.
"Hey, this will be a trip we'll never forget, hm?" Rex chuckled.
That's for sure.

After Rex and Ellie dropped me off, I headed inside and noticed Jacob on the couch, with his head buried in his hands.
I dropped my bags and rushed over to him, "Did something happen?!"
"Yeah," He looked up, his eyes all red and puffy. "I-I broke up with Grace.."
