"i never want anything like this to happen to us again. i don't want to lose you" my voice mumbled as i buried my face in lannans chest.
"let's get married." lannan replied, pulling away from me, keeping his hands on my shoulders
"what?" i smiled
"this weekend. we've been engaged for a while and we haven't even organised anything. why wait any longer?" he smiled back
"really lannan?"
"100%"
i smiled even more and jumped into his arms, he held me up and i wrapped my legs and arms around him.
"i love you" i gently said in his ear
"i love you too" he whispered and kissed me
lachlan came back down the stairs and laughed
"i see you've made up" he said, walking past us
"we're getting married this weekend!" i replied with excitement
"i better be on the invite list"
"na sorry mate" lannan laughed, making lachlan lose his smile
"he's joking" i said
"well congrats guys, i can't wait" he came over and hugged us both.
we thanked lachlan for looking after lannan and drove home. we had to go in separate
cars because we both brought our own cars here.

we got home and instantly facetimed my parents.
"hey!" we said as they answered
"gday you two, everything okay?" my mum said in a bad australian accent
"we have some news" i replied, smiling "lannan you tell them"
"alright. we know it's a bit short notice buttt, we'd like you and Sam to come over this friday because we're getting married on sunday" he said, hardly being able to contain a huge smile
"of course we will! we're so happy for you two" they replied
"love you guys, see you soon!" i said and hung up.
we sent out texts to other family members and friends, some of mine from england and some of lannans in australia, including lannans parents and siblings.
we went upstairs to tannar, who we hadn't sent a message to, and went into her room.
"hi guys. where were you last night" she said
"not important now tannar, we have news" lannan replied
"you're having a baby?" she suggested
"uh, no" i laughed "we've decided to get married this sunday" i finished
"omg you guys! congrats!" she jumped up and hugged us both "that's in 5 days though you'll have to do things pretty quickly"
"yeah, we can do it though" lannan replied
