When some people like the work of an artist, they ask if said artist can draw their characters.
The closest I'll ever get to that is saying "You're good at art, so could you tell me what you think of my character design-wise?"
I often want to ask questions about my characters from people who clearly have experience in writing or design, to see what other people think. This is one of the reasons I read so many rant books ^^'
