In the midst of class, I seem to have dozed off against the table as my instructor throws a piece of chalk at me.

"Hardly a place to sleep, Kiro. Since you appear to know so much about the creation of mana that you think you can sleep during my class, why don't you tell the class what is mana, go on."

Mana? Oh right, that's what he's teaching at the moment.

"Umm..."

Trying to search for the answer in my mind, I avert my eyes across the classroom without turning my head. I was hoping for someone kind enough to mouth me the answer or at least give me a hint but to no avail, they were all staring at me shaking their heads or laughing.

I try to put my thoughts into words however I evoke nothing but silence.

"Anything Kiro? Oh how your parents would be soo proud of you."

He's trying to make a fool of me, I just know it. I may not be as knowledgeable as they were. But I'm trying to live up to their name! It's people like you who puts the pressure on that makes me want to destroy this academy.

I sit back down in complete misery, I know that mana is the life of nature that surrounds us, all the elements. You can create the form by drawing a circle in chalk, then place an object that represents that certain attribute.

"But, why didn't I say that?"

I whimper in complete misery to myself as I look at my book with a sigh. I have no notes on the topic, all I have were drawings of creatures that takes the form of it. After all I love doodling these kind of things. Serabrae's, they have nine-tails, unmatchable flame abilities, intelligence and they're beautiful. But of course not all Serabrae's can take a form of a girl.

I pick up my pen and start copying the notes off the board before he could wipe it off.

"And that is all for mana class, in our session tomorrow you would learn on how to create them. And as for you Kiro, come see me in my office after this."

"Yes sir."

That means I'll be late for smithing class and today was when Enzo would show us a demonstration from start to finish. I feel my joy departing as I start packing my books for the next class.

....

After the bell sounds, I walk out of the classroom, heading for Shira's office near the stairwell. Though my tracks were soon interrupted as three males stood in front of me. Standing, high and mighty, the trio of arrogance, well it's what I like to call them.

"Good job answering the question Shira gave you."

"Yeah, looks like you were going to wet yourself everyone knows that mana is..."

Pondering something that would never come to his head, he urges for someone to finish off his sentence. Just do something that require you all to not use your brain. It's known for others to tease those who are most vulnerable, since I'm not too acquainted with other students in this academy, I'm the easiest victim.

I step to the left and press on but the taller one to the right stops me

"Where do you think you're going?"

"You were attending his class too right? I'm meeting Shira in his office."

As though my straight answer annoyed him, he pushes me back as I stumble trying to keep my posture straight.

"Alright, alright what do we have here?"

A man with a stern voice questions.I turn around to see who was behind the voice. Kai, standing tall staring into their eyes with ferocity.
