"Your thoughts kill you, don't they?" ~Asher

|ASHER'S POV|"Ava?" I called, looking at her while she was holding her foot up wincing.
Her eyes widened as she stared back at me. "Ha, Yes?" She nervously laughed. Standing up straight. "I'm sorry, did I wake you up?" She apologizes.
No, "Yes." I replied rudely, I don't feel as drunk as I was. But I still have a huge headache.
"I'm sorry." She apologized again.
Her kindness is making me fucking sick.
I breath out of my nose as I head toward the cabinets of the kitchen to get some water. "It's our last night here. It's going to be a crappy place until everything is sett, but it's starting to get unsafe here."I explained, taking three ibuprofen pills, swallowing it without water.
She nodded sadly, "When are we going to be able to go our homes?" She asked softly, tugging on her hoodie as she bites her lip.
"I don't know." I huffed, rubbing my face. It's so stressful, this whole situation is just driving me crazy.
My boys called me the other night, telling me that the mafia came to the underground fight for me. They wanted to kill me.
And this girl just came along with me, so now she's in this mess with me, because of me. Because I helped her, if i didn't help her she wouldn't be in danger. And every-time I try to do something kind, it bites me back in the ass.
The sound of rain was heavy enough to hear it crashing against the floor. A light of thunder hit as Ava jumped in fear. I saw her gulp hard as she hugged herself.
Why is she scared? Is just rain.
"I'm going back to sleep." I was on my way not waiting for her reply. "No- I mean ok goodnight." She smiled tightly, I looked at her confused and headed upstairs.
She's weird.

I woke up the next morning, feeling like shit. My head was throbbing and all I wanted to do is smash it against the wall.I rubbed my eyes from exhaustion, it was sunrise out, and the electricity was still out. I lay back down, feeling someone stir next to me. I jumped out of bed, finding Ava. She was sprawled next to me on the bed. Her forehead was a scrunched in together and her eyes were tightly closed. She then whispered "No, I promise. I won't say anything."
"I promise." She continued.
"No!" She yelled from the top of her lungs as she flew out of bed breathing hardly. She grabbed her head and was mumbling "No." multiple times, shaking her head.
What the hell is wrong with her?
She's having a panic attack idiot.
I stepped one step closer.
No heart.
No mercy.
I toke one step back away from her, as I left her alone in the room.

The cold water runs down my back in the most painful way. But I liked it, it relieved me from stress.
