chapter 12: Do you trust me?

Lee so Min's pov.

We were in the car to head to our destination.

"Here" CEO said while taking out a small box of his coat suit pocket.
I gave him a confused look and took it from his hand. I opened it and my eyes widened. It was that pendent that I wanted.
'How did he came to know that I wanted this. Was he present there?' I thought.
But I cannot accept it, it was way too expensive.
"I cannot accept this" I said while looking in his eyes.
"Put it on" He said ignoring my statement.
"Sir i cannot, it's really expensive." I said again.

He took the box from my hand. He put his hand on my shoulders and moved me so that my back faces him. He grabbed my hair and put them on in side. He took the pendent out of the box and put in on my neck and closed the lock. He then again grabbed my hair and let them fall on my back.
I sat like that only for a min more to examine what happened. I shifted myself and sat straight while touching the stone of the pendent with my hand.

"Thank you, but I'll pay you back" I said with a small whisper enough to be heard by him.
He didn't reply back.
We soon reached the venue. I stepped out from the car and there were so many reporters.
'It's going to be difficult ' I thought.
There were so many reporters that I started getting scared of what if I fall or make a mistake that will cost Mansef.

I was walking really slowly towards the entrance. CEO was walking like he is used to it.

Kim seok Jin's pov.

Lee SO Min was walking really slowly. She was scared and looked uncomfortable. I stopped and looked back. She looked in my eyes and gave me a nervous smile. I smiled at her and gave my arm to her so she can hold it. She took a deep breath and started walking. We got inside the ballroom and there were not so many people. There were only CEOs of fashion companies with their manager's or assistant.

We introduced ourselves to various CEOs . 'She is good at english' I thought.
'But she was never good at it in school. She must have improved it in university' I thought.
We chose a table and sat at it. Wine was served to us. Lee SO min drank only a sip.
'She must have a low alcohol tolerance. She must get drank easily' I thought.

We were sitting in front of each other when a representative of another company came.
"Beautiful lady. May I have this dance.? " He asked Lee so min while offering her his hand.
"Ok sure" She said while taking it.
She left to dance while leaving me alone.
I saw them dance. She is a good dancer. I remember that she was in school's dance club. I used to cheer for her when she used to dance in a competition.

It was 10 minutes since they are dancing. The man who was dancing with her kept his hand on her waist while Lee so min on his shoulder. They were extremely close. I didn't know but I felt jealous.
I saw his hand slowly move down to her hips. His fingers started swirling around them. She started to look uncomfortable.
I was about to run to get those filthy hands off her.

He then suddenly whispers something in her ear and what came next I couldn't believe my eyes.
She slapped him hard across on his cheek.
"You fucking son of a bitch" She said. The man stumbled on the ground. The crowd started forming around them. She didn't stop there. She sit to reach his ear and whispered something which made him looked a little embarrassed. She stood up and walked out of the Hall.

As soon as I came to my senses I also walked out to search where Lee so min went. I was so scared that she might get into some trouble. It was almost midnight and all the streets were dark and silent.
"Lee so min, Lee so min, Lee so min " I shouted searching everywhere.
I've been searching for her for the past half an hour.

"Sir" I heard a voice. I turned and saw Lee so min standing.
I ran up to her and pulled her into a tight hug.

Lee so Min's pov.

CEO came running towards me and pulled me into a hug. I could feel wet on my shoulder.
'Is he crying?' I thought.
I wanted to remain like that forever. I wanted the time to stop.
I have already started liking him.
We stayed in that position for a while before he broke the hug. "I thought something happened to you." He said while trying to talk normally. His eyes were red.
"I'm fine" I said smiling.
"What happened inside? " He asked.
I didn't wanted to tell him because he might get hurt after listening.
"Lee so min tell me" He said with anger in his voice.

"I could feel his hands going down . He then whispered in my ear. He called you a rascal. He said that you killed your father because you didn't wanted to interfere him in your business. So he wanted me to become his assistant and leave you. He told me that he will give 10 times more the salary I currently get." I said.
He looked sad. It must have hurt him.

"I couldn't control my anger and slapped him and said in his ear .Do you take me as a slut. You sure know how to run a business. " I continued.

Kim seok Jin's pov.

She told me everything that happened. I was not feeling angry about what he said to me but how he treated Lee so min. I was sacred by the thought of what if she had said yes.
"Do you trust me? " I asked her.
"Yes, of course. I know you cannot do anything like that." She said smiling.

Flashback.
I was on my way to a meeting with my father. We got out of the car as soon we arrived. Suddenly we heard gun shot sounds. My father came in front of me to block the bullets. Several bullets went through his body and he died at the spot. He saved me.

End of the flashback.

"I know you cannot do anything like that" She said with a smile.
"So never ever get into a fight because of me " I said while caressing her hair.
She nodded in response.

I called the driver and told him about the location where we were at. We soon arrived at our hotel. We were so tired that we didn't even said goodbye to each other and ran into our rooms to sleep.
