Chapter 31 : You are fired.

Kim Seok Jin's pov.

It's been days Lee So Min is coming to work. She has fully recovered.

It was 7 am when I got out of home to go to work. My car was waiting with my driver Baek hyun . I sat in the car and went to work.

I was early due to some work . I went on my floor and saw Lee So Min was not here yet as it was still early .
I went in my office and started doing some work.
After some time my manager Mr. Jung came into my office.

"Sir there is a meeting with Portugal investors at 10am. "He said.
"Why? I wasn't informed for any meeting" I said furrowing my eyebrows.
"Sir the meeting is due to some scandals " he said .
"Ok. Arrange a translator." I said as I didn't know Portuguese.
"It's not required sir Ms. Lee knows Portuguese." He said.
"Really?" I asked in disbelief.
"Yes sir. She knows french, German and Portuguese. " He said.
"Ok then . You can leave" I said.
He bowed and left the room.
I put my pen down and thought ' how do Lee So Min knows so many languages. Did she learnt by taking special classes for them?'.

At 9:30.

I heard a knock at the door.
The door opened revealing Lee So Min.
"Good morning sir." She greeted.
"Good morning" I greeted back.
"Sir you have to go to check the infrastructure of the industry at 3 pm today , hmm that's it" she read out the schedule.
"We have a meeting right now also" I said.
"Sorry?" She said.
"We have a meeting at 10 with Portugal investors" I said.
"Ok." She said nodding.
"Prepare everything you need . You will be translator for today" I said.
"Me?" She asked pointing at herself.
"Yes you. You know Portuguese. You wrote it on your application form." I said.
"Oh yes sir. Permission" she said and rushed out of the room.

Lee So Min's pov.

I rushed out of the room.
"Oh **** " I cursed in my breath.
I started panicking not knowing what to do now. 'This will be my last day at work.' I thought. Fear started engulfing me.
I took my phone out to call my friend Gil O sol .
I called her. But she didn't answer .
I called her again. But no response.

Suddenly the door of Jin opened revealing him.
"Let's go Ms. Lee , it's time" he said.
I stood up shaking. I knew today has to be my last day.
We took elevator together.

I decided to tell him that I lied.
"Sir?" I said avoiding eye contact.
"Yes." He said turning his face to me.
"I- I uhm nothing" I said.

We soon reached the lobby. We entered the meeting hall.
And my nightmare started . The hall was filled with foreigners probably Portuguese.
We took the seats. I was sweating so badly. I don't know what to do. My heart break was so loud I'm sure everyone could here.

"Good morning everyone. I'm the CEO of Mansef Kim Seok Jin" Kim Seok Jin said.
It was my turn to translate. But how could I . I don't even know how to say hi in Portuguese.

"Bom Dia a todos. Eu sou o CEO do Mansef Kim Seok Jin" a man spoke.
I diverted my eyes from where the voice came. He was a Korean . He was a translator!.

Kim Seok Jin made a eye contact with me. I could see hurt in them but he smiled.

The meeting continued. The translator did his job perfectly. Soon the meeting got over.
I was collecting the papers after everybody left.
*Shut*
I heard the voice of the door getting shut.
I turned around and saw Kim Seok Jin.
He looked angry and hurt at the same time.
He locked the door and started walking towards me while making an eye contact with me.
He loosened his tie while walking towards me.
I started going backwards. Soon my heels touch the leg of the table. Kim Seok Jin didn't stop .
He came more and more closer.

Kim Seok Jin's pov.

"Oh yes sir. Permission" Lee So Min said and rushed out of the room.

'Something is wrong with her ' I thought to myself.
I called my manager.
"Hello, arrange for the translator. Ms. Lee won't be translating . She is not well" I said on call.
"Yes sir" he said.
I got out of the room at 9:55 fir the meeting.
"Ms. Lee let's go for the meeting" I said.
She nodded.
She looked nervous. I knew she has lied about the languages.

"Sir?" She said while we were in the elevator.
"Yes" I said hoping she tells the truth.
"I- I nothing" she said.
I felt hurt that she is still lying.

I introduced myself to the foreign investors in Korean.
The translator translated in Portuguese.
I looked at the Lee So min. She was shocked. We both made an eye contact and I smiled.

I could have not called the translator early and let Lee So min herself tell that she doesn't know Portuguese or any other languages that she wrote in the form in front of all people.
But I didn't as she would have got insulted which I can't see. I can't bear anyone insulting Lee So Min.

After the meeting got over I went out to see off the investors. I returned back and saw Lee son min still in meeting hall . I need to get an explanation from her. I went inside the room and locked it. She turned over and was shocked when she saw me. I started moving towards her while she moved backwards. She soon hit her back to the table.
I still continued to walk towards her while making a strong eye contact.

I was so close now that I could feel her breath on my lips .
I stared deeply in her eyes.
I could see the fear in her eyes. She was scared of me.
I softened my expressions seeing her tremble.
I tugged a loose hair strand at the back of her ear.
"You are fired" I whispered in her ear as softly as I can .
She didn't move she kept her sight down. She knew she did wrong and she deserved it.

I saw the necklace which I gave her. She was wearing it. I lifted it up from the stone and put it on the dress so it will be visible as it was hiding because of her dress.

I walked out of the hall .

"Mr. Baek hyun drive me back home." I said while sitting in the car.
