EENIE, MEENIE

"Friend bakit ka naiiyak? What happened?" Niyakap niya ko nang mapansing malungkot ako.

Kinuwento ko sa kanya ang napanaginipan ko. Every detail of my dream is engraved on my mind, except for his face.

"We need to find him fast. He's dying. We only have less than five months kaya kailangan nating magmadali. He needs our help." Tarantang sabi ko sa kanya. Kailangan ko siyang mahanap. I want to talk to him again. I want to touch him and be assured that he's fine.

"Don't worry too much, okay? I've eliminated almost all the names in our list and we're left with two; si Charles at Jet." Sabi niya. "I've seen pictures of Charles but only with his adoptive family and friends ever since he started using social media. He never mentioned anything about his life in the orphanage or about his real parents." Pinakita pa niya sakin ang iPad that has pictures of Charles she got from his account. "Si Jet naman super konti lang ng posts niya sa accounts niya, more on status update lang siya and puro deep quotes. The pictures he has in his timeline are those that are tagged by his friends lang o kaya solo niya. Although, he does have a pic with an older couple. I visited the profile of the person who tagged him kaso naka-private so I can't really tell if they're his parents."

Tiningnan ko ang mga pinakita niya. "Wait, how did you eliminate our other suspects from the list?" I need to be sure about every step we take. There are no room for errors because this is a matter of life and death for the Prince.

"Katulad ng sinabi mo kanina, sa Facebook pa lang malalaman mo na ang bawat detalye ng buhay ng isang tao. I've seen pictures of our classmates which confirms the story they told us. May mga pictures pa nga nung burol or libingan ng parents nila. May pictures din ng parents nila abroad. I also checked the profiles of their parents who are still alive just to make sure they aren't bogus profiles. Nag-search din ako sa mga obituary sites for names of the deceased parents pati na newspaper archives para dun sa mga parents na namatay sa aksidente kaya super sure ako sa research ko. Ang malaking problema lang natin, kung pano natin malalaman kung sino dun sa dalawa ang hinahanap natin."

Natahimik ako sa tanong niya. Sa sandaling nakausap at nakasama ko ang Prinsipe, I've gathered that he's the sort of person who can and will sacrifice himself for the good of others. He's simply self-sacrificing and good to the core.

Normally, I admire such a trait pero hindi ko magawang matuwa sa katangian niyang 'yun because the thought that he'd knowingly put himself at risk is something that breaks my heart into pieces. At dahil sa ugali niyang 'yun, sigurado akong mas magiging maingat siya sa kilos niya lalo na't alam niyang hinahanap ko siya.

Natahimik ako at nag-isip nang malalim. Bahagya ko pang sinisilip ang dalawang pinaghihinalaan namin. Si Jet at Cindy ay masaya pa ring nag-uusap, habang si Charles naman ay nakapikit. Tinitigan ko si Charles na nakakunot ang noo and realized he was sleeping. Maaari kayang siya ang kasama ko kanina sa panaginip ko? Siya na kaya ang hinahanap ko?

Napatingin ulit ako kay Miles nang may maalala ako. "Tumawag ba sila Calisto?"

"Ah oo. Kanina kasi nakatabi ng bus natin yung van na sinasakyan nila at parang naramdaman daw nila yung aura nung Prinsipe."

"It's confirmed then. Nandito sa bus na 'to ang Prinsipe and there's a very big possibility that he's one of our friends. Kailangan kong mag-isip ng paraan para malaman kung sino siya sa dalawa."

"Magpaalam ka kila Tita na mag-o-overnight tayo. Let's talk to the other dark fairies. Baka may alam silang paraan para makilala yung Prinsipe nila. Kung kailangang ipakilala natin ang apat kay Charles at Jet, e 'di ipakilala natin."

"Nawa'y gabayan tayo ng Bathala sa lahat ng ginagawa natin. Sana matulungan niya tayo." Panalangin ko.
