For the past week, Kuan-Yin was filling out forms, working with paperwork and accepting and declining requests of missions. Jiangsu was also doing paperwork for reconstruction of old facilities and building new facilities. A knock echoed in the room as Susu and Zhi Rou entered the room, "Mistress! Jiangsu!" Both excitedly exclaimed as the four haven't had time to see each other since their last dinner.

Zhi Rou took the brushes of both working people and place it down on the inkstone. "Aya stop working you two have a break!" Zhi Rou dragged Jiangsu and Susu dragged Kuan-Yin to a nearby gazebo to eat snacks. Kuan-Yin appreciates the break from work while Jiangsu was still mumbling about work.

Susu places four invitations on the table addressed to Kuan-Yin, Jiangsu, Zhi Rou and Jingwei. "What's this invitation for?" Kuan-Yin took the invitation which was addressed to her reading it's content.

"A banquet gathering for all the Sects leaders, Kings or Representatives of other Continents and Lands also people with high influence." Susu explained the contents of the letter while serving tea for all of them, "But, I'm not too sure about the reasoning behind the gathering of so many highly influential people."

Kuan-Yun raised her eyebrows questioning the motive of this banquet. An alliance? Resources? Lacking o manpower? Information? Many questions popped in her head even though she has relations with the emperor she doesn't know what's on his mind. Quietly nibbling on her snack she pondered on those ideas.

"It's very strange because Sect Leaders aren't usually invited to banquets yet alone the sect's mythical beast," Zhi Rou further elaborated on content on the invitation, "There could be a big problem arising in the near future."

Jiangsu intently listened to the conversation as Kuan-Yin silently sat there not saying anything. Kuan-Yin left in a hurry to her room to retrieve two wooden boxes and as quickly as she left she quickly came back. "I nearly forgot about these," Handing the beautifully decorated boxes to Zhi Rou and Susu. As the both of them recurved they opened the box to find a whole set of foreign-made makeup which was hard to come by since they were expensive and there was also a limited stock of them. They both squealed and hugged Kuan-Yin for the luxury gift.

"How did you even get this?" Zhi Rou fawned over the beautiful array of colours.

"Mistress I do not deserve such an expensive gift," Susu pushed it away from her, however, Kuan-Yin pushes it back which Susu treasured the gift wholeheartedly.

"I have my ways," Kuan-Yin smiled

For the next couple of week, everyone was readying themselves for the upcoming banquet to the foreigner Lands, nearby kingdoms and Sect leaders and mythical beast. Jingwei was cooperating quite well with measurement of her clothes with the dressmaker and Gui since the banquet was coming up since there would be lots of food.

Kuan-Yin visited the palace to talk with the Second Prince. "Yin'er!" The Emperor called Kuan-Yin from afar the outdoor corridors and Kuan-Yin swiftly walked to his direction. She bowed to the Emperor in respect, "Yin'er there is no need to bow to me," he chuckled at the polite girl.

"Godfather since mother and you are sworn siblings does that mean you knew that my mother wasn't human?" Kuan-Yin questioned quietly and the Emperor could only silently nodded. "Why didn't you tell my brother or me?"

"We mustn't speak openly here come with me," The Emperor walked his office which was decorated very beautifully however it had a heavy atmosphere, "You must know that hybrids are highly discriminated in our society because of the mixing of blood." The Emperor told her common knowledge of society ideology.
