[AWSTEN sets his phone down on the coffee table, sighing as it clicks against the wood. He brings his legs up to his chest, wrapping his arms around them.]

PATTY: [Stares at the ground with a bottle of beer in his hand.] I don't know if I'll be able to face him.

AWSTEN: Just act like nothing's wrong.

PATTY: [Looks at AWSTEN and takes a swig of his drink.] I can't. [places his bottle on the table.]

AWSTEN: It's not like it's going to be easy.

PATTY: I know that, but how do you think I'll feel being in the same room as the boyfriend of the guy I fucked?

[AWSTEN goes silent.]

AWSTEN: [Quietly, but just loud enough for PATTY to hear.] I don't remember much of it.

PATTY: I remember everything.

AWSTEN: All I can remember is you taking me to the room and pushing me against the wall.

PATTY: [Chuckles and puts his face in his hands.] I can't believe that's all you can remember.

AWSTEN: Why?

PATTY: [Uncovers his face.] Because a lot went down and a lot of words were said.

AWSTEN: What do you mean?

AWSTEN: What did you say?

[They go silent for a while.]

AWSTEN: Did I say anything?

PATTY: Yeah.

AWSTEN: Like what?

PATTY: The past you said to keep it a secret so I'm not telling you.

AWSTEN: So what? You're just gonna let my past self keep secrets from me?

PATTY: [Picks up his drink.] Yep. [Sips on his drink.]

AWSTEN: [Sits normally again.] Well I want to know what I said!

PATTY: Fine. You want it? I'll tell you. You said you were tired of Geoff sexually, and wanted a 'compatible partner'. [Makes air quotations.] You said I wasn't your first choice, but I was still pretty high on your list of fuckable guys. You could not stop going on about how good it was to feel someone else and how much you loved what I was doing. [Notices AWSTEN'S teary eyes.] Dare I go on?

[AWSTEN stands up, wipes his nose, and heads back to the bedroom.]

AWSTEN: I needa change, do you have any clothes?

PATTY: [Follows AWSTEN.] I should.

At the restaurant

[AWSTEN and PATTY had already found a spot. GEOFF walks in and AWSTEN motions for him to come join the pair at the table. PATTY'S stomach begins to flip as GEOFF'S smiling face comes into view.]

[GEOFF sits next to AWSTEN.]

GEOFF: [To AWSTEN] Hey. [Kisses his forehead.] You look real good in all that black, but why aren't you wearing your own clothes?

AWSTEN: There's vomit all over them.

GEOFF: Oh.

[PATTY hides his face in the form of putting his head down, but AWSTEN kicks him.]

PATTY: [Looks up.] I'm not feeling so good. [Stands up.] I'm going to the restroom. [Leaves.]

AWSTEN and GEOFF wait for PATTY until they realize he's been gone for awhile. GEOFF decides to go and talk to his friend.

GEOFF: Patty?

PATTY: Last stall.

[GEOFF goes over to the last stall and PATTY comes out.]

GEOFF: What's wrong?

PATTY: [Smiling] Nothing. Now come on. we don't want to your boy waiting on us. [Walks towards the bathroom door.]
