Chapter 7 • Interview 2

Lisa's P.O.V

I'm currently waiting for Ms. Dara Park at the HR Office when my phone vibrated from my bag. As I look for my phone, it once again vibrated.

2 messages, I opened the notification to see who texted me and I saw 1 text from Jin oppa and the other one is from Jungkook.

From: Jin Oppa. 🤴🏻

No problem, Lis. I hope you enjoyed your food and that gummy candy I prepared. I miss you and your unnies. Visit us soon, okay?

My heart is full because I have the most amazing friends anyone can ask for. I replied to Jin oppa's message.

To: Jin Oppa. 🤴🏻

You miss me and my unnies or Jisoo unnie only? I know you love my Jichu unnie, oppa. We will definitely visit you guys soon.

I love teasing Jin oppa, because he gets so flustered whenever I bring Jisoo unnie in our topic. I hope that my ship will start sailing anytime soon. Before I forgot I opened Jungkook's mesage.

From: Jungkook

I'm just outside the HR Office, text me if you need anything, okay? Don't be nervous. I know you can do it, babe. I believe in you. I love you so much, my Lalisa Manoban :*

I must admit that his message made me smile and it help me calm my mind from overthinking. I replied to his message before I put my phone back in my bag.

To: Jungkook

Thank you for believing in me. It means a lot. If you feel hungry or bored you can leave me here. I can manage.

Message Sent..

After few seconds I received a reply from him.

From: Jungkook

I won't go anywhere. I will wait for you. Again, I love you babe.

And with that I smiled. I really hope you won't get tired of proving that you are worth taking risk for the 2nd time around. I hope you'll be there to reassure me that it will never happen again because I don't know if I can still bear that kind of pain.

After 5 long hours...

The interview and examination is finally over. It actually went pretty good than what I expected. The results will come out after 2 weeks. I went outside the HR Office to see Jungkook busy reading a magazine he didn't seem to notice me that's why I tapped his shoulder which made him flinch a bit.

" Oppsss, sorry if I startled you. You seem pretty occupied to notice my presence." I laughed and he hugged and kiss my forehead in reply.

 
" How was my baby's interview and exam?" He asked, I hope he didn't notice me blush because of his gestures.

" It was  good tho at the hands-on examination I panicked a bit. I pray that the result will come out pretty good. I badly want to work in this company." I honestly told him.

" You'll get that job, I'm sure of it. Come on let's have our late lunch." He said while reaching for my hand.

Jungkook's P.O.V

We are having lunch at this famous Thai Restaurant near Brixton Corporation. She started asking me questions about what happen to us the last 3 months.

" Am I really worthy enough to be love? Why do you have to break me, my trust and our relationship?" I can feel the pain in her voice and it was all because of me.

" Hey Lis, don't ever doubt the love you have in your heart. It is my fault, I ruined us but I promise to make it up to you. I will do my best for you to regain your trust in me. I know I'm such a jerk for putting us in this mess. But please allow me to prove that I am worthy for your 2nd chance. Just don't leave me, Lis. I can't afford losing you." I hold her hand which was placed on the top of the table.

" Make me believe that you really regret what happen to the both of us because one thing is for sure, if you ever do that again, I wouldn't hesitate to let you go, Jungkook." She replied and with that a little hope bloomed inside me. I promise not to mess this up.

" I will, Lisa. I will." She smiled once again and started eating.

The lesson I learned from the mistake I did was never take someone else love and affection for granted 'cause you might wake up one day and they already gave up on you.
