Third persons pov.

Mr Black sat in the boardroom of his office branch, Xavier sat in the seat to his left and Alec stood on his right. Mr Black tapped his finger impatiently against the glass of the table. They have been waiting ten minutes for Veronica to show up. With Mr Black and Xavier not knowing that is it her, they grew rather irritated at the their new boss has kept them waiting.

"I find this rather inconvenient." Stated Xavier, he looked at his father, who had an unreadable expression.

"Xavier." His father said looking at him. "It would be in the best interest of the company if we meet this new person."

"Then where is he!?" Xavier practically shouted.

"She is right here." The room went silent and the sound of a woman's voice. All eyes were on her, Mr Black look horrified as he recognized the lady standing in front of him. Xavier was completely dumbfounded, all while Alec smiled widely.

"Right." Veronica spoke. "No need for pleasantries, shall we get to the point of the meeting." She took the seat across from Mr Black. "William, Xavier." Veronica set her briefcase on the table and took out two pieces of paper. "These are your contracts, you will have them singed and handed over to me by next week. You have until then to dicide if you wish to remain with my company or hand in your resignation."

"What!?" Exclaimed Xavier. "Are you out of your mind? You cannot come in here and expact all of this to go unchallenged."

"No I did not, which is why I would like to inform you of your father's actions." She pulled out another piece of paper. "Last Thursday your father signed over his shares of the company to me. Which now means that I am your boss, if you do not like it that way I shall take your resignation now, thank you." Veronica had a straight face and looked Xavier in the eye.

"Here is my letter of resignation." William broke the silence. Xavier looked ar him completely Awestruck, Alec too was caught off guard by his father's actions.

"What is the meaning of this?" Alec asked. Veronica smiled.

"Can I have a moment alone with your father?" She asked, the two men looked at each other before walking out the door. Veronica waited to hear the click of the door before she began to speak.

"You are looking well Mr Black." She smiled. "How have you been?"

"You are still alive?" William asked sounding shocked.

"Alive and well. But that is besides the point, although I must point out the fact that you are practically a corpse." Veronica leaned back into the chair. She crossed her legs and smirked at William. The room was silent for a moment, the tension grew thicker and the air became cold.

"Lyllith, I don't understand your motives here." Said a shocked William.

"Wow, no one has called me that in a while." She laughed breathy before becoming fearully serious. "You will address me as Ms Ives, as for my motives. You should know very well why I am doing this."

"You are swmimg into dangerous waters, you don't know the man that control the current." Mr Black sounded scared, his voice hushed and his look distant.

"Would you care to elaborate?"

"I wish I could but I am being watched and it is time that I leave." With that Mr Black got up and walked to the door.

"Mr Black." Veronica called before he left the room. Mr Black looked back and noticed her expression had softened, she now looked like Lyllith. "I wish you well." He nodded and walked out the door.

Xavier's pov.

It's been an hour since the meeting and I am still trying to rap my head around the fact that Veronica Ives is not the owner of Black. INC. Father left about half an hour ago, he said that I should stay and work but how could I? What had just happened? Was this women not just one of Alec's friends? How on earth had she been able to get my family company? Nothing made sense, all of it seemed forced.

My train of thoughts was broken by my brother, he walked into my office and look normal. As if none of this was happening.

"How can you be like this!?" I asked irritated at his behavior.

"Be like what?" He look at me confused, as if he had not realized what had just when down.

"What do you mean like what? Father just handed over our business to the women! Why are you acting as if it's all going to be ohk?"

"Why would it not be?" He sounded calm and collected, which added on to my irritation.

"Maybe for the reason that this is no longer our family business!"

"You really have no clue what is going on, do you?" my brother sat in the chair in front of me. "You were supposed to be taking over this place." He gestured with is hands to the building. "You had no clue how much dept father was in. Veronica saved father from a lot of angry men, she also saved your ass. You would've been left to deal with those people. Can you not understand that!?" I looked at my brother in shock. Father never mentioned any of this. How did Alec know of it? More so how did Veronica come to low of this information?

"You are still so ignorant." Alec look disappointed. "Sometimes you need to think carefully about a situation before you make a move." With that he left me alone with my thoughts. After what seemed like hours, which was mere moments, I dicided that it was time to leave.

The office was rather empty today, I assume that Veronica must have let them go home. I stepped into the elevator and stood against the wall. I closed my eyes and rested my head against the cold metal. I heard footsteps entering the elevator and the air seemed to become a little dense. Opening my eyes to see the brunet that just took my company. I must admit that there is still something alluring about her. None of us spoke or even dared to look at one another.

Suddenly there was a grinding noise and the elevator came to holting stop. Which caused and unsteady Veronica to stumble back into me. The lights went out and the dim red emergency lights flickered on. Not that they were of any help. Veronica pushed away from me and straightened herself, before looking around the elevator. She mutter something under her breath and turned to face me. I thought I saw a hint of fear in her expression before her face when completely unreadable.
