When Tyler got into the car Joshua peppered him with a million kisses. "Goodness, hello," he blinked, taken aback.

"Do you know what today is?" Joshua asked excitedly.

"Uh..." Tyler thought for a moment. "It's Thursday?"

"And...?"

Tyler gave him a blank look.

"It's Valentine's Day!"

"Oh!" Tyler nodded. "I'm sorry! I don't usually keep track of holidays that don't pertain to me."

"This one does now," Joshua kissed him softly before leaving the school.

Tyler smiled softly. "I guess so."

"I bought you something."

The younger instantly felt bad. "I neglected to purchase you anything."

"I know. That's okay. Your presence is enough of a gift."

"Are you sure?" Tyler asked worriedly.

"Of course," Joshua assured.

When they got to Tyler's and were sitting on the couch, Joshua started going through his bag. He pulled out a paper bag and a plastic grocery sack.

"What is all this?"

"Okay so," Joshua began. "I brought you Wendy's fries, a box of vegan chocolate, and a Hershey's chocolate bar. It was one of the few that didn't have peanuts or was manufactured with peanuts."

"You remembered I'm allergic to peanuts?" Tyler asked softly.

"Yeah, dude!" Joshua set the things on the table. "I can't have you dying on me or anything. I got you the vegan chocolates too because I didn't want you to have a stomach ache all night from eating regular chocolate. And you just like Wendy's fries so..."

"Joshua..." Tyler looked up at him with teary eyes.

"Oh no," an uneasy look overcame the mentioned's face. "You hate it, don't you? I'm sorry I thought you'd—"

Tyler cut him off by getting up and hugging him. "Thank you," he whispered. "No one's ever done this for me," he sniffled. "I love it."

He felt Joshua kiss the top of his head and rub his back. "I'm glad. You deserve the whole world, baby."

Tyler pulled back and kissed Joshua lightly. He pulled back and smiled. "I really do adore you."

"I adore you too," the older replied. "I wish we could go out or something but it's okay. Your mom told me she was gonna be gone Saturday night so we can spend time together alone then."

"Wonderful."

Tyler was sitting on the couch and reading a book when the doorbell rang.

"I'll get it, Mother!" He told her, getting up. "It's probably Joshua!"

"No, Tyler—" she began, walking into the living room.

But it was too late, Tyler already had the door open. Standing on the doorstep was a man all too familiar, a bouquet of flowers in his hand.

"Pastor John?" He raised an eyebrow.

"Hey, Tyler!" He smiled. He looked around Tyler's shoulder and smiled wider. "Hello, Kelly."

Tyler turned to see his mom dressed in a long red dress, her fancy jewelry on. "Mother, why is Pastor John here? And why are you dressed so grandiose?"
