Tyler got into Joshua's car. It was Friday. The last day he had with Joshua until Joshua wasn't busy with baseball.

Tyler didn't understand the sport but he already hated it. It was taking Joshua away from him when he needed him most.

"Hi, sweetheart," Joshua grinned when Tyler was situated. As soon as he had his seatbelt on, Joshua spoke again. "Is it alright if I kiss you?"

Tyler knew no one was around but he wanted to tease Joshua. "I don't know..." he sighed.

Joshua rolled his eyes and leaned in, kissing Tyler slowly. The younger melted into the kiss and when they pulled away he was blushing. "Don't tease me. That's my job," Joshua spoke in a low voice, a smile on his face.

Tyler leaned back, the smile still on his face. "I thought you said it was hot, Joshua."

"I did. It is. But that's my job," he laughed. He started the car and began driving. "Does your mom let you do homework on weekends?"

Tyler blinked. "Yeah. I usually accomplish it before I go to sleep on Friday, however."

"Good. I told your mom I was taking you out."

"What?"

"On a date."

"What?"

Joshua looked at Tyler and laughed again. "I didn't tell her it was a date. I asked if she would be okay with me taking you to get dinner and hang out since we're friends," he grinned. "And she said since the library went okay then she was fine with me doing so. She just said make sure you don't eat anything with peanuts."

Tyler thought about that. "So we're on a date?"

"Yeah."

"I'm on a date," he breathed out. "I never thought I'd accompany a date."

Joshua let out an awww and grabbed Tyler's hand. "Well you are on a date and it's my mission to make this the best date ever."

Tyler couldn't help it when his face heated up and he covered it with his other hand. "I wish I wasn't dressed in my school attire."

"I've got that covered," Josh hummed. "I figured you could wear my sweatshirt again because you looked so fucking adorable and then I may or may not have skipped last period to stop at your house and grab you a pair of jeans so you'd be more comfortable. May or may not."

"There are so many things I would like to reply with."

"How about a thank you?"

Tyler smiled and rolled his eyes. "Thank you, Joshua."

"Of course snookums."

"I would not like to attend this date anymore."

Joshua laughed, letting out a small sigh as his mouth rested into a smile. "Hey I don't know if anyone ever tells you this but I'm proud of you."

"You're proud of me?" Tyler asked for clarification, his heart swelling.

"Yeah, baby," Joshua's thumb gently rubbed circles into the side of Tyler's hand. "Despite being stressed as hell lately, you're still keeping up with school. You've also been... I don't know. More carefree? You just seem not to care about the things that bothered you before when we're together."

"It's because we're together," Tyler replied.

Joshua didn't reply but just squeezed his hand softly. Tyler glanced over and Josh sent him a smile. Tyler found himself smiling back.
