Luke’s POV
It was the bear I had given her.
I ran my finger along it’s heart.
I didn’t have an exact explanation of the gift when I gave it to her, because I was too scared to say it.
Instead, I had written it onto a card.
But I chickened out at the last moment and kept the card.
I still remember what the little heart meant to me.
It was everything that I loved about her.
Her laugh, her smile.
Her love for movie nights.
The passion she had, when she talked about music.
The bad jokes that I told, but she would still laugh at.
The face she made when we studied together, the way her deep brown eyes filled with life as she wrote.
Her endless generosity, kindness, and care for others.
Not only that, but everything she had done for me.
Everything she had done with me.
I love the memories and inside jokes that only we knew.
And I promised myself to give the same exact things to her someday.
