Before Connor met Kate, he lived a simple life as an Omega in the Tellsman Pack.
Kate, was as normal as a university student could be.
Neither one of them had any idea that meeting one another would unravel a dangerous series of events.
What Kate...

I starred at my Alpha, now seeing a man who had the ideas of a crazed idiot. His words echoed in my mind, tripling my shock. "Me?" I parroted. "Elijah, I'm an Omega."
"You're a great wolf Connor, despite your ranking." His voice was full of honesty, he truly believed that despite my place at the bottom of the food chain that I was a good wolf, a good person. "The pack needs someone more like you looking out for them."
Fear shot through me, fear and excitement at what Elijah was about to say, about what he was about to ask me to do for him.
He lowered his voice until it was a guttural whisper, "You're the closest with Adrian, there isn't anyone he trusts more. I need you to keep an eye on him, make sure he isn't putting anyone at risk and report it back to me."
The thought of spying on my best friend, while possibly necessary, made my stomach twist with guilt.
"And if your successful," Elijah continued. "There would be a place for you among our packs higher wolves." Although I'd seen the offer coming, my face must have still displayed my shock because Elijah added, "It would be good for your future Connor, your entire families future."
He was right. For Omega's my family was well off, our connection to the Alpha's family served us well but at the end of the day we were still Omega's, lowest of the low. Moving into the ranks of higher wolves would change my families life and my future children's life.
"If I accept," I began, lowering my voice to a low octave just like Elijah's. The conversation that we were having, if overheard by another pack member could be life threatening. Omega's didn't become higher wolves from offers from their Alpha's, they killed and slaughtered their way up the ranks. "What happens to Adrian?"
Elijah's shoulders dropped forward, he looked defeated. "I don't know," he admitted, his lack of a plan seemed to be a running theme for the conversation. "That depends on him, I can't help someone who doesn't want to be helped."
Silence fell between us as I thought over the offer. Adrian had been my best friend ever since I was able to walk and talk, recently he had changed. Not as much as I was aware, clearly but could I spy on him? Was keeping tabs on him and reporting to the Alpha the wrong choice? Doing so would propel my family up the ranks, promise us a better future.
"Take some to think on it." Elijah interjected, realising that I was thinking over the offer. "There is a time limit on this offer Connor, Adrian is getting worse."
The dim light above my desk was spreading a yellow glow over the textbook I was running my highlighter over. A loud yawn forced its way past my lips, at the same time that my phone lit up, shaking all of the desk as it yelled for my attention. Adrian's name flashed on the screen.
