Part 31

Rin's POV

Literally the second I opened the door, I was attacked by a bundle of blue and gray feathers, and lumps of multicolored fur. "Whoa whoa whoa what's going on!?" I yelled. Sitting in front of me with cheeky smiles were Soul, Chi, Nami, Sumi, Kage, Yami (the wolves), Tora, Yuki (the tigers), Ryuuga, Kiryuu, (the dragons), Haru, and Natsu (the cats).

"WELCOME HOME RIN-SAMA!" They all screamed. I winced as my eardrums rang. Aerius landed on my shouders, causing me to wince again, when his sharp claws dug in to my flesh. Noticing this, he landed beside all the other animals.

I rolled my eyes. "Guys! Honestly! First off, cut the "sama" Rin, or Rin-chan is fine. Second of all, I didn't need a welcoming party, It's not like I was gone for three years!" I yelled playfully. "Well we were mainly giving Aeri-chan a getting well party!" Squealed Chi.

I laughed. "Aeri-chan? Nice nickname." I said. "Why thank you Riri-chan!" Aerius teased back. "Sorry guys, we can play later. I have to get some epaulets for myself so that Aeri-chan can stand on my shoulders." I apologized. Thankfully, they all said good bye and poofed off.

I looked at myself in the mirror, more or less satisfied. I'd gotten black leather epaulets, to match my black military jacket. Is also gotten better fingerless gloves, so that Aerius's claws wouldn't kill my hands. I'd also changed my ninja wrappings behind my kunai pouch to dark gray, cause the white kept getting dirty. I also got wrappings for my fingers, so my hand was partially wrapped, partially gloved.

"Alright! Now I can bring you with me every where!" I said, high fiving, well, high winging my partner.

(Now let's just assume it's daytime now okay? No judging. I know I time skip way too much. -_-)

I hummed quietly as I walked to the meeting spot, Aerius sitting on my shoulder. I was the first one there, for the first time in a while, so I sat there and waited.

About ten minutes later, Sasuke appeared, Sakura tailing him, with hearts in her eyes as always. Looks like they learned their lesson not to come early. Kakashi magically wasn't as late as usual, which was pretty surprising. He's usually three hours late. "Rin, who are these people?" Aerius asked, a bit quizzical.

"Oh right! The introductions! Sasuke, Sakura, Sensei, this is my new partner Aerius. Aerius, these are my teammates, and my sensei." I said, gesturing them. "Hi!" Sakura said, smiling. She must think he's cute. Sasuke just grunted. Typical. Sensei raised a brow. "He's a summon I presume?" He asked. I shook my head. "Not quite. But he can talk." I said. "Nice to meet you!" Aerius said politely.

"Now, on to other matters, we have a lot of missions to do." Sensei said.

"I'm tired, my feet hurt, my hands are sore, I have rope burns, it's too hot, I'm covered in mud!" Sakura complained. Sasuke and I both sweatdropped. Sensei sighed. "Go home, meet me at 6:00AM sharp tomorrow at the training grounds. Don't be late." "I love how he always says that but he's always late." I muttered, nudging Sasuke. He simply chuckled, and turned around to go home. "Sasuke-kun wait! Let's go do something together!" Sakura yelled, trailing after him. "Eww, no, pink haired banshee." I heard him mutter, Sakura completely oblovious. I sighed, and shunshined home.
