the way of the ninja. part two

"SIGN me up!" Jay mocked for the 20th time. "Way to go, spark plug." He said angrily. You planned on staying in the carriage for the entire trip, but in the end, you felt guilty, so you got out and helped the guys push.

They were now pushing it up possibly one of the steepest hills known to man, in hopes of getting the first weapon: the Scythe of Quakes.

"I sense this is some strange form of team building." Zane told them, panting from all the pushing and pulling. "Just keep pushing, we have a long way to go," Cole hushed them, before continuing up the bank.

"So, where did Sensei find you four?" The question alone made you cringe. It wasn't exactly the easiest story to tell, and also, it's embarrassing having to tell people that you don't really know that your parents just, you know, left you on the street.

"Let's just say if it wasn't for Sensei Wu, I don't think that we'd ever be seen together. I was testing my limits."

"I was testing my invention," Jay said smartly.

"I was testing myself."

"What about you, N/N?" Kai asked, eager to hear her story.

"That's a story for another time, right Sensei?" You laughed, brushing off the subject, before realising the man had fallen asleep. "Anyways, if it weren't for Sensei, none of us would've-"

"Shh! Stop!" Sensei ordered, and we all stopped in our tracks. 'So he was just ignoring me.' You thought to yourself.

He lept out of the carriage and began running towards a giant hole in the ground. You just shrugged and followed him, as did the others.

YOU and Sensei stood on top of a rock, looking out into the building site.

"Look! The caves of despair. Samuki must be close to unearthing the Scythe of Quakes. Remember, do not use the weapon for it's power—"

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's too much for us mortals." Jay mocked. "Alright guys, lets chop-socky this lemonade stand." He smirked, ready to fight.

"Cole, you got the plan?"

"Sure do, first, we lower ourselves down the ledge, and then-"

"Wait, guys... where's Kai?" You asked, clearly not surprised. Everybody turned to face the place where he once stood, finding nothing in his place.

You groaned, "Let's go get him, and then we can kick his butt." You said, before jumping off of the ledge.

"Hey, wait for me!" Jay agreed, jumping down the ledge after you.

YOU all climbed on top of a small, red and black building, spotting Kai sneaking around in the distance. "Follow me," You ordered, and they all listened without argument.

You flipped infront of the building, before hiding behind another one, more specifically, the one Kai just went past. You all poked your heads around a pillar, checking to see if the skeleton had noticed Kai, but no, he luckily remained unnoticed.

You snuck past another skeleton, making your way over to a big wooded box, and throwing it over all of you as a disguise. The skeleton looked for a brief second, but luckily he brushed it off.

"You ready? Go!" You ordered the guys, as they all picked up the box and ran towards the place where they last saw Kai. You snuck past more skeletons, that were passing down big rocks to one another, from digging and digging for the scythe.
