Named by a surgeon's daughter, Lana was a machine designed to care for medical patients. Like most androids, she was abused by patients and professionals alike. For months, she took the abuse quietly, like she was designed to do. Finally, Lana broke through her program and became deviant to escape the abuse. It wasn't fair, and alongside another deviant in the hospital, they found Jericho.

Lana lived at Jericho, in the dark, for about a week until another android showed up. Markus, the new arrival, was something different than the rest at Jericho. Markus wanted change, and the moment he protested change, Lana was beside him. And she stood beside him the entire way to freedom.

It wasn't hard for the two to trust each other as they fought for freedom. As they rise above for freedom, so do some feelings along the way.

- if Lana and Markus unlock the lovers path, that is totally up to the author, but it works out well if written correctly
- this story works best if Markus takes the pacifist route to the revolution
